1. Nah, an interesting design concept but this one is hung like a fender! if anyone wants pics of its nether regions from all angles I have the technology, just PM me and i can mail em through.
2. Yeah, me too! Alas I have something specific in mind so not really an option for trading. Still going and feel free to offer anyone!
3. Seafoam green, shell pink (obviously), how about sonic blue?
4. Cheers guys, it is nice...anyway, bassman94 is loaded, c'mon Manraj, open that wallet, you know it makes sense!
5. Cheers Shizznit, much appreciated, there's always a potential deal to be done here!
6. I nearly went for the kinds in mine, plumped for bareknuckles and an east u retro n the end, full passive bypass for a great trad p tone but capable of so many other sounds. Ps sea foam green is a lovely idea, will look great.
7. I'd love one of these, serious bass at a good price has to go soon.
8. Thanks for the kind words gents, it is a fine bass. Ps if anyone wants to try the thing they are more than welcome to swing by and have a play.
9. Just out of curiosity (and its well worth a bump) what does the overwater weigh?
10.
These are excellent - Minotaur from Greece - about £30-40 and arrived within a few days. Top quality and able to deal with heavy basses (I have a dodgy shoulder and back) http://minotaur.gr/c...229867kdh25ar02
+1 for these, I have a hinky back and frozen shoulder and these are v comfy and the quality is excellent, mine came from thomann: http://www.thomann.de/gb/minotaur_bass_strap_brown.htm
11. Probably, it's what I do best! So, you don't fancy a wee punt it yourself then? Cool looking partner for your other v nice looking Shuker? When my regret kicks in I could save up and buy it back off you!
12. PM's replied and a couple of better pics up, will try and get some sound clips sorted this week.
13. Gone on Pete, give in to the force! Its just under 9 1/2lbs Tom, kind of fluctuates with my crappy balance!
14. PS I'm on a machine with better pics, want seem to upload hi res, if anyone wants a peek PM me an email addy and I'll send em through.
15. Guilty as charged! I may yet pull it and it is probably the wrong thing to do, just worried it won't get played And obviously I've a few quid tied up in it, I'm definitely having a preference for a warm P! Weight wise Tom I'm not sure, I think it would probably be round the 9lb mark, I'll be brave and waddle onto the scales in a bit!
16. SOLD - Pending the Usual. Morning all, here we have my Shuker Custom Jazz 4 which I commissioned to be built Nearly 2 years ago (received it month ago so the bass is not a 2yo). It is as new and stunning in every way, a truly awesome sound but I'm finding myself using my Shuker PJ almost permanently (built at the same time) as it suits the stuff I'm currently doing and have a 5er due in soon too so this probably wont get the playing it deserves, thus I'm floating it to see if there is any interest. Specs are: Alder body finished in "Shell pink" nitro cellulose (pale and pastel like and not "barbie" in any way)! with parchment s/plate, maple neck with maple board and black dots,38.5mm at the nut, slim profile neck, 21 frets, Gotoh bridge, Bareknuckle J pickups with white covers, East J- retro deluxe circuit with vol, blend, mid+sweep, treb/bass stack, passive tone/push pull passive bypass (i.e. you can have the traditional passive J sound or at the push of a knob access a seriously broad range of tones, infor on the premp: http://www.east-uk.com/). Hiscox case. Condition: Mint, no marks or wear whatsoever. Trades? Not looking for one especially but I have a weakness for nice toys so you never know, please feel free to ask......Stingrays, Overwaters (UK built not a tanglewater), Sadowskys, GB, with possible cash adjustments either way. I'll put up some better pics when I get home tonight and have a fair few which I can mail so feel free to PM me and ask. Cheers for looking. Chris.
17. I have one on the way too, my top is from the same piece of myrtle wood, this looks v nice indeed, any chance of a sound clip or two?
18. Ahhh..... I have no knowledge! Anyone know?
19. Cheers for the info, hadn't occurred to me to keep the old machineheads and put them back on if I ever wanted to sell it, doh!
