3.
I have one of these (currently waiting to be picked up by another member) And they are nice basses for the money, very light and comfy to play. Chris is cool to deal with.. so don´t hesitate those who missed out on mine!
Cheers James, they are lovely, it's just I've seen a little bit of history I'm itching to get my hands on!
 4. Morning everyone, This is the latest instalment in my bass clear out. Ok, this is my custom built Shuker "horn" 4 string that I bought from new very recently, Its one of Jon's own shapes/specs so there probably isn't that many about. The fit and finish is right out of the top drawer with a really nice attention to detail and a fantastic neck, anyone who's played these will know how good they are, fat, punchy and very versatile, soundwise they are kind of cross between a 70's jazz and a Ray but you can dial in pretty much anything, I love it but as always I have seen something that I've been waiting forever to come up and need to raise some cash pronto! Specs: Bolt on neck (slimmish profile), 34" scale 24 frets. maple/wenge laminated neck, madagascan rosewood f/board with some nice patterning, carbon fibre reinforcement, two way truss rod, white ash body with a green tint and black grain fill satin finish, Delano PCHE & SBC pickups, ABM bridge, Gotoh tuners, black hardware, Seymour Duncan 3 band active circuit with "slap switch". Condition: Its new, pristine, there are no marks, scratches wear or any issues whatsoever. Price: I'd like £899 NOW £650 ono to get things moving which is less than I paid and yes, I can ship & of course if you are in the Midlands you are more than welcome to come round and try it out. Trades: I wasn't as it was a fund raiser but I won't be offended by offers as you never know so please ask. especially if you have something passive e.g. a nice P? Cheers for looking Chris.
 5.
Epiphone Thunderbird. Good for low-slung rawk posing (if you don't look too closely), but nothing else. I also had an Ibanez ATK, one of the ones with the 24 fret neck, no scratchplate and J pickup. Such a weedy sound, unless you just had the J pickup running but then you sacrificed any clarity or punch. And, the ferrules on the back of the body were too narrow for Rotosound strings.
Warwick rock bass , I got one online for my daughter, it's horrid but the prize has to be a "cheetah" jazz bass, mmmmm..... Can't quite find the words for this one, it was all bad in every possible way, even for £20!
 6.
Okay, now £520!
Have a bump Mike, I can't believe this is still here at that price, lovely basses, a sign of the times I guess.
 7.
Sold?
Fraid so.
 8.
Nice bass, though that was a keeper?
It is lovely but something caught my eye, same old eh?!
 9.
PM'd
Cheers Col, and replied.
 10.
I'll PM you when I know when I'm up that way.
Okey doke, were easy to find.
 11.
I'll be in Birmingham this week, can I come and have a try? May well be seriously interested.
Yep, no worries, feel free to drop in, your more than welcome, I'm not about Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (work) but any other time is ok, drop me a line etc.
 12.
You don't fancy a Stingray5 do you....?
Tempting, nice basses but alas one too many strings for my humble gimp like technique! Cheers for the offer though.
 13.
Swift Saturday bump.
Now for sale again.

 16.
Round the 9lb mark, not the lightest but not a killer either, I'll weight it later and post a defiinitive figure and yes, I'm happy to ship to Ireland if your happy to pay the cost.
ok, I've braved the bathroom scales and it's 9 lb 5oz (ish), guy at work reckons it's the 70's pup spacing.

 20. Evening everyone, Here we have my custom Shuker J4 which I have owned from new and have had for about 4-5 months, it's a very nice example of a high quality custom jazz and is a really nice player, kind of punchy & bright but I need to free up some cash for my build projects which are not far from completion (I hope)! Specs: Maple neck, maple board with black dots, carbon fibre reinforcement. 20 frets, satin neck lacquer. alder body, candy graphite pearl colour coat, wet look gloss topcoat. black s/plate. delano JCAL pickups, Shuker 2 band j-eq, Gotoh bridge, Gotoh tuners, black hardware. Condition: As new, no dents, dings or chunks missing, no issues whatsoever. Price: I'm willing to take £699 as I got it from Jon Shuker at very discounted price (£500 off) so I'm passing this on & yes, I can ship if needed & if your in the Midlands feel free to come & try it out. Trades: I'm not really looking for trades as this is supposed to be a fund raiser but you never know as I have a serious weakness for nice toys so please feel free to ask! Cheers for looking. Chris. PS it was withdrawn for a while but now up again, it's a gas thing!

 23.
Thank you guys, indeed it's an incredible bass and as mentioned very lightweight and very easy to play thanks to the slimmer neck.
Lovely basses and Javi is a great guy to deal with so no need to worry about buying from overseas.
 24.
Bob, looks like the body could be Spanish cedar. My old perception was cedar (with a walnut top) and looked very much like this. It was lightweight too - about 7.5lbs. Might be more info on the reverse side of the control cavity cover.
I too had a Perception that looked a lot like this and mine was also sub 8lbs, lovely basses & well worth a punt.
 25.
Swot Looks megga that Chris!
Great looking basses, how easy are these to do? are you really heavily supervised or can he rescue it if you balls it? I have been toying with doing this for a couple of years but have no woodworking experience.
