1. Evening all! back up for sale owing to buyer having a cashflow prob. Here we have a 6 month old never gigged Sadowsky Metro PJ hybrid which I have had from new. Specs are: Natural finish, maple fingerboard, slim jazz neck, ash body, VTC (vintage tone control), P/J Sadowsky pickups, push-pull active / passive switch & 2 band EQ. Condition wise it is fantastic, no dents, dings, buckle rash, fret wear or bits hanging off it. The only marks of any description are slight/very light marking (approx 3-4mm) across the pick guard from playing which is only visible from very close with the aid of a light shone cross it! If you have never played one of these they nail all the classic fender tones & a whole lot more & are very high quality. Weight wise its also pretty light so if like me you have a dodgy back it won't kill you! Ships in a Sadowsky semi-hard case/bag. Shipping can be negotiated. I was asking £1395 but have reduced it by a big chunk to get a quick sale, now £1095 (sorry but no trades - unless you happen to have a decent Alembic Orion or Epic going spare)! Thanks for looking. PS: A "bass whisperer" review with some sounds on it: http://www.bassemporium.com/newsletters/0208newsletter.html

 5.
Sorry, fainted, that's my dream machine, fantastic!
It is as beautiful in real life, I just can't afford to keep it at the mo!
 6. Hi all, here we have a Shuker custom Jazz that I bought off "Mike" a few weeks back, I'm heartbroken to have to part with it as it is a stunning instrument but I currently have a greater need for a new combi boiler than an extra bass! Hope Mike doesn't mind me using his piccies & info: Body: Slightly undersized & made from white ash with a 5A maple "drop top" finished in a wet look blue transparent top coat. Electronics: The pickups are “single coils on steroids” Nordstrand "Fatstacks" which are Paired with Jon’s Shuker 3 band EQ. These are also switchable (how & to what is beyond my technical knowledge) so as well as sounding like a Jazz bass, you can switch to a really convincing Precision sound, especially if you roll onto the neck pickup. There is an 18V preamp which is really powerful and offerrs lots of headroom. There is also an Active/Off/Passive switch – and when in passive, the treble pot turns into a VTC (tone control) pot. Neck & fingerboard: The neck is a slim (38mm at nut) 5 piece laminated rock maple fender style slab neck with a two way truss rod & carbon fibre reinforcement. There are blue LEDs down the side of the neck, with normal/extra bright switchability. The neck has a satin finish, and there is a two way truss rod with carbon fibre reinforcement. The fingerboard is a beautifully figured piece of birdseye maple, with dot markers. Soundwise this bass is very punchy & has lots of harmonic content, it has been strung with new d'addarrio 45-100's. The bass is in excellent condition, the only marks on it are a small scratch on the matching headstock which is barely visible, a tiny dink on the neck which can't be felt when playing & a v v small mark on the body which cannot been seen unless up close. Price? I'm looking for £1100 ono & can arrange shipping if needed which can be negotiated in with the price. Cheers for looking! PS ships in a decent Hiscox hardcase.

 11.
Just had a cruise through the Sadowsky website and they don't seem to do a Metro with just the Precision-style split coil. You can only get that on an NYC ultra-vintage, which is going to be a pretty penny, methinks... I like the new P&J Jazzes, though. Very nice looking things. If only they did necks as nice as the current US Fenders, I'd have one.
Bass central have a couple of metro P's listed but I never seen one anywhere else; If you roll onto the neck pickup & play with the VTC you can get a seriously nice P sound out of one of these.
 12.
I have a Sadowsky Jazz and a PJ but really want a P puped one only without the extra Jazz pup. Does anyone have one and fancy swapping for my PJ, obviously value wise u will gain, but ill be happy, shes mint with mintish case. Long shot I know. So basically I want to swap my PJ for a Sadowsky Metro P. The Olly white Jazz is going nowhere! Pic:
I got one, these are fantastic basses, someone snap it up!

 15.
UMMM retro!!!!
Don't tell Mrs Rickenbacker I said that!
 16.
Beautifull bass. I managed to sell my PM4 pretty quickly so I'm amazed this wasnt gone yet. Have a bump.
Cheers mate, these are really nice basses but it's almost certainly the wrong time to put it up, it's just that I've seen something I really fancy! we'll see, I may pull it if there's no takers & do it the old fashioned way save up instead!
 17.
Cheers mate, it really does look good in the flesh! also thanks to Rich, not tempted? I know you have a thing for the retro look!
Price drop bump.
 18.
bUMP
I've got one & they are stonking, bargain price as well!
 19.
I played on of these at a show, stunning tone, nice full P tone and then you can dial in some MM for a little more "bridgeness". I'm not normally a fan of Surf/Sea Foam Green, but here it just works perfectly. Have a bump.
Cheers mate, it really does look good in the flesh! also thanks to Rich, not tempted? I know you have a thing for the retro look!
 20.
Have you tried a Shuker? his stuff is pretty reasonably priced & v good.
swift bump!
 21.
I could live without the dots but just like the look of a fretboard with them. I would love a Sadowsky but this time im going for a completely new tone, trying to get away from the basic P and Jazz tones. Thats why i looked in to a Sandberg a while ago. Still got the P tone in case it all goes tits up but also a MM tone to help ease me away from the old school. I played (and almost brought) a Sandberg PM5 in Blackburst a few years ago. Fantastic bass, both in looks and tone but i ended up going for a Lakland 55-01, based on its nicer neck more than anything else. Im not saying never but i would need to get past the neck thing first.
Have you tried a Shuker? his stuff is pretty reasonably priced & v good.
 22.
You know, i could live with the Green but the one thing ive never liked about Sandbergs is the lack of dots on the fretboard. Call me old fashioned but i like them there. Even better, blocks but ive only seen a few Sandbergs with those. I think they add about £150 to the price so i can understand why not a lot of people go for them. Im looking to sell or trade my DJ5 as soon as i can and am planing on getting a SR4 but i did consider one of these as well at one point. Best of both worlds IMHO. Its just the fretboard i have a problem with. Again, good luck.
Yeah, the block inlays are a bit expensive but I can live without those, this does have side dots otherwise I would be shafted! thought about trying a Sadowsky? they are v expensive but v v nice!
 23.
Lovin that colour combination myself, surf green with rosewood board. Just bougbt a bass last week, otherwise I'd be very interested. Good luck with the sale
Cheers mate, the board on this is really nice which doesn't come out in the pics, nice bit of grain etc.
 24.
If this was Black (or even better, Blackburst) i would have this off you. Good luck with the sale.
Cheers mate, the colour is an acquired taste but its bound to get whoever buys it noticed! the pics don't really do it justice but these are really nice basses.
 25. Hi Everyone, here we have a mint condition Sandberg California PM4 in "surf green" with a Mint pick guard. The body is a P style (feels slightly undersized) cut from alder & the neck is Maple with a rosewood fretboard (slimmer than a standard P, feels much nearer to a jazz). Electronics are: 1 x Delano P-Style 1 x Delano Powerhumbucker, Sandberg 2 Band EQ with passive Tone control, Activ-Passive switchable. Hardware is all chrome Sandberg. Sound wise this bass is really fat/punchy & very versatile, as you would expect it nails the classic P bass sound really well but also produces a great MM/slap type sound. These basses are really well built & condition wise it is as new, there are no marks on it. Further info on the model can be found at: http://www.sandberg-guitars.de/ I'm looking for £749 (inc gig bag) ono & can ship. Cheers for looking. PRICE DROP: £725
