1. Bump to say this will be at the Mini North West Bass Bash if anyone wants to try it.
2.
Buy Mikehs' Bongo. I played it a couple of nights ago, and was knocked out. Personally, I think they look fantastic, and the power and range of tones is unmatched by any other Musicman model. I love my 'ray, but would love a Bongo.
+1
3. Bump for Price Drop. now £650. Still open to trades for Jazz type basses.
4. Good stuff, I'd certainly be interested in abing that against my Epi.
5. Cheers Russ, I'll probably have got enough saved to buy a Jazz before this sells!! lol
6. Bump for renewed GAS for a Fender MM Jazz. Will trade for one with a bit of cash of course. Also interested in a MIJ 75RI

8. My first rack Im now using this, much better
9. Yes, I've been eyeing that bass up aswell, shame its CAR though!! I would also trade for a MM Jazz with some cash as well.
10. Im starting rehearsing with a blues band so wanted some inspiration. And Jeff Healey, as you said, is awesome.
11. The bass kind of gives it away!!

Raymans 5.

That Marcus is UGLY, you really need to get shut. I know just the person !!!!
14. Cheers Luke, yes it was a shame we couldnt plug the basses in, but we got funny enough looks, 4 blokes going to your room, basses in tow. It would of been funny though to see the look as we wheeled in some rigs as well. Its a cracking bass and does come into its own when plugged in, But I really want some kind of jazz bass!!!
15. If I could sell my Bongo Id be sorely tempted by this, stunning bass.
16. Since renewing my Jazz GAS thought Id give this a little bump
17. Cheers John, Session went ok. I think we'd have liked time to go back and redo somethings. But as its just to get gigs at pubs and the like we had to settle. but do plan to go back in later in the year for a proper session. Cheers Mike
18.
I went to Steve's house - and a very nice house it is. He took me up to his bedroom and twenty minutes later I left with the money. Ahem...Steve's a proper lad and a pleasure to do business with. Buy/sell with confidence.
Oh thats nice, I had to meet him in a car park for my money!!
19. No bass in this, but heres a vid I threw together after recording our demo cd for my covers band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mAp7f42960
20. When I decided to try and downsize my rig, my first thought was to go for something like a MarkBass Little Mark2. But after seeing an Aguilar AG500 for sale on the forum I had to buy it. That came with the new problem of which rack case. The most likely candidate was the Gator Shallow racks which come in at around £60 delivered for the 2U offering. After a bit of Googling I came across the SKB Roto X range. I found the 2U version @ £46 from Sounds Live. After checking the specs, it seemed like the perfect but oif kit. Rack Mountable depth of 10 and 3/4", my amp is 10" deep. First impressions out of the box where that it looked very solid and seemed to be a thicker plastic than the Gator Case I'd had in the past. Solid moulded handle on one side and nifty rubber on the opposite side and underneath. Only the front cover is the typical rack case cover, the back has a much smaller access panel type cover, shown in one of my pics. All the outputs and power lead socket are inside this 'hole' on the back and it seems as though the rack case was made for the amp. Very snug fit, and pretty much rock solid. If you're looking for a rack case for your shallow amps, or effects I'd certainly recomend this offering from SKB. IIRC they go up to a 4U.
21. Stunning, heres hoping for a lottery win!! Mike
22. If You've still got it in a couple of weeks I'll probably buy this.
23. You got the thumper sorted then? I've played this and it is a stunning P. Sounded HUGE. I think when I get my next P, I'll be sticking a Thumper in it.
24. For an extra 50 (ish) you can get a Rumble 100. more than enough to gig with.
