2. Im hoping to go, but its not definate. I went a few years ago and there was nothing bass related. Im sure its moved on since then though. I think MusicGround are going to be there so there may be some vintage Fenders to drool over. Mike
3. I tell you what mate, although Im not fond of the looks, its aint going any where for a while. Sounds SSooooo good.
4. Get a Tribal Planet gig bag!!! I've just got one from a user here and it by far the best gig bag I've ever used.
5. After saving for a few months today was the day to pick up my Aria SWB. Very, VERY happy, and lookin forward to the learning process.
6.
My EUB uses a cymbal stand
I spent most of this evening researching this and found a few threads on Talkbass about using cymbal stands. Looks ideal. How did you attach it to yours?
7.
i was going to by a trace elliot cab but it has come to my attention that i am too poor instead i would like to go for this instead the Behringer ultra bass BA410 i will of course be buying a head of some sort but i haven't decided what yet, anybody got one/ used one? if so tell me whats good and bad please and if it's terrible whats an allternative thats affordable (around the same price of this kit on GAK) Behringer BA 410
IMHO I wouldnt waste your money on that, there's someone in the for sale forum selling a 2x10 and 1x15 trace cabs for £170 ish for both!!!
8. Heres my new (cheers Steve) Bongo 4HH. I got to try it at a gig on Friday night and I have to say, despite the looks It plays and sounds sublime. Really cuts through the mix, Im just afraid now that with the 4 band eq I'll never stop twiddling my knobs!!!!
9. I had the same thing after not playing using a strap for a while. I ended up buying a strap similar to a Comfort Strapp off ebay, really does the job. Really wide neoprene *spelling* material. MIke
10.
The Bongo's have amazing tone variety and feel but...the looks
I have to agree, I've just aquired a Bongo 4HH through a trade and have to admit they're one of the fugliest basses around. but they sound SO good!!! The neck is very good and pretty damn fast. And at least you wouldnt have to look at it while you're playing it. At least thats what I've been telling myself. I played the Bongo live for the first time last night at a gig, and it cut through the mix like a knife through butter, easlily the best sounding bass I've owned. Mike
11.
I had to hunt for one recently and I came up with THIS which works well with my BSX Allegro. The key thing for me was finding something where the supporting arms would raise up high enough for the short body with the spike out. This one does it for me, the spike is 21 inches and it's just off the floor.
That could be just what Im after, thanks for the link. Mike
12.
Go on Mike, name your price.
One Bongo!!
13. And thats just down the road from me!!
14. Well it looks like I'll be picking me Aria Swb up next week and it suddenly dawned on me, when Im gigging where can I put when im playing me electric bass?? Is there such a thing as an EUB stand??? I really dont want to resort to leaning it against a wall!!!
15.
interested in cash?
Always interested in Cash!!! Make me an offer I cant refuse. As for trades I'll consider anything!!
16.
Ah... the dreaded GAS strikes again!
lol you're not joking mate!!! Maybe we should start that bass passport idea to keep track!!
17. And i'll throw in a Warwick Flight case for the right trade WHY
18. After a sudden GAS attack (I dont know wher that came from) Im putting My P bass up for trade. Serial number dates in between 79 - 83. Theres a thread on here somewhere from the previous owner. The bass is in superb condition, and sounds how a P should!!! IMHO the perfect colour combo for a Precision Black body, Black scratch plate and maple neck and finger board. Looking to trade for a jazzalike 5 (4's considered) Lakland DJ5/4 5502. Maybe a Marcus Miller, or even the right MM ray. And the pics
19. What he said. Played through this today with my Gk 1001 Rb II and its a stunning little cab. Anyone wanting a 112 will NOT be disapointed. And the 212 is TWICE as good
20. Whoever buys this cab, will be very, VERY happy!!! More volume than you could shake a stick at, and the more watts you put into it the better it sounds. Free Bump
21. The first thing I said when I saw the first pic was f**k me!!! Thats a stunning looking bass, and one of JS's finest builds I'd say. If it plays and sounds half as good as it looks it'd be hard to beat!! Very nice
22.
£200?
Ahh that is more than I want to pay TBH, Thanks for the offer though Cheers Mike
