1. PM'd re the BSW
2. That's a very attractive bass. Will you take one of my children in part ex?
3. I have a large bit of wood with a nail in it.
4.
just goes to show no one else really listens to bass
Yes they do. They just don't know it.
5. Sansamp programmeable BDDI - Always on. Use two settings - 1.Dirty and 2.Warm to dirty Ashdown Compressor - If going only DI or through someone elses amp. Otherwise I prefer the onboard one on the Trace. Boss TU-2 - Bog standard tuner. Bass Big Muff - I like to fuzz out on a couple in the set. DOD FX64 Ice Box - Nice chorus used on 1 song. A Synth Wah thingy is the only other one I'll add. Just to have a bit of colour and variation.
6.
Total opposite, if I'm not having fun I'm not doing it. I have enough of work at work.
Sort of agree. Sometimes we'll go at it really intensely in a disciplined way for three or four hours and get loads done. But as we're all enjoying ourselves it's fun even though it could technically be thought of as work. Other times we'll just have an hour or so at the end when we'll play innapropriate covers or pastiche former band members.
7. I wouldn't worry too much. If the crowd are enjoying it and nobody gets physically hurt. it's no biggie. I try to keep all my mistakes in time. That way I can call them jazz solos. I find I make more mistakes when I over rehearse. If I don't really need to concentrate on the playing my mind starts wandering (She looks nice in the third row. Did I leave the heating on? Is a tomato a fruit? What key is the next one in? Ooh look there's a bloke in a funny hat, etc.)
8. I have succombed to looking without playing a few times recently. This has been the fault of some female audience members mainly.
9. Sharing drums (minus snare & tinware) and the bass amp makes sense on a multi band night for quicker change overs. But I'd expect to ask/be asked first. I'd expct guitarists to bring their own amps though.
10. It's had 3 bids and is up to £310! Jiggery pokery going on if you ask me.
11.
I'm not sure what a 'hi-fi' P-bass tone is. Anyone care to enlighten me? Does it just mean clean, full range, or what?
It means you can hear all the mistakes.....
12. Purple strap. Mmmmm.
13. I'm sure there's a packet of Woodbines in the bottom of that bass bin. Bet it stinks of patchouli too.

15. Love to have gone. On the road to Zummerzet tonight though. Have a good one.
16. Competition stripes  Pass the Kleenex.
17. Maple for looks. Rosewood for playing. Rosewood it is then.
18. I use a fair amount of dirt. Seems to sit well with the band. The music's not particularly 'heavy' either.
19.
This one amused me: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fender-Precision-Bas...=item414d1d446a Not so much the price, but more the line: EWWWWWWWWWWW!
Good god. It looks like David Sullivan's bedroom....
20. I'm sporting their diamond crowned pork pie at gigs at the moment. Pics soon.
21. Purchase the Jazz if you're a musician and the Precision if you're a bass player.
22.
Are you up for trades at all, or is this strictly cash?
Buy it Jack! Then I can have a go.
23.
Did you upgrade the pots and wiring with it?
I got rid of the (pointless) S1 pot and put a CTS one on. All standard apart from that. Just got a bit more welly everywhere than the standard MIA Fender pickup. I don't need/want versatility. Just a good 'core' sound....
24. I had an 18 year break!. Back to it 5 or 6 years ago. Gigging, recording and everyfink now.
