1. You've got me thinking now.... It could do with a facelift. Funny really I haven't had the thing 2 minutes.
2. They're a bit like like rocky horse s**t but I love mine. One day when the band makes lots of money I'll push the boat out, but right now it's doing a grand job. Don't have any backup though.
3. Still got the Pbass pick guards? Got a Black precision with maple neck, which one do you think will set it off the best? Like black but I'm trying to picture the pearl. hhmmmm.
4. Got mine new (but a little smokey) from Grott guitars in old Eldon square(remember them). Got it for an absolute steal because it had been in some fire damaged building. It smelt a bit smokey for a couple of weeks but after that it was all good. I think there was a couple of them at there at the time. Maybe you got the other one?
5. The Bass base 250 is an excellent amp and i use it for backline and on it's own for pubs etc and it copes no problem. Bit heavy though, you wouldn't want to be carting it about all the time. Have to be honest though I don't know anything about the modern stuff. Bit disappointed if it's true what warwick is saying about the tone of the newer amps as I was looking at a back up for mine. Hope they haven't skimped on quality.
6. re. the POD Had my floor pod for about 8 months now and I'm only now getting the best out of the compressors....I think. Try doubling up with the front end compressor (on the control panel) and the MXR. A bit dissapointed with the compressors and chorus on the POD TBH.
7. If you've had any dealings with me, please leave a comment, good or bad, and I'll return the favour. All the best. Joe
8. Thanks Pablo, A nice guy to deal with and a credit to ebay.....sorry Basschat. Excellent communication and he was very understanding when the courier messed us about. Cheers Joe
9. Yeah, I know Chris. The preamp was installed when I bought it. Gives it that extra little bit of versatility I think. I'll certainly miss it when it's gone.
I have one of these as my main bass (but just with standard pickups and preamp, I didn't feel a great need to change them), and they are absolutely cracking. So good I sold my Status Stealth bass after getting it!
10. Hi all, Having just bought a new P bass from these very pages my spector now has to go. I will be sorry to wave it off but hey ho! what can you do. I've already put this up for sale or trade this year and then withdrawn it but this time it just 'has to go' as the wife says. It has a VERY SLIGHT (unphotographable) indentation on the back of the neck which doesn't affect playing. In fact I only mention it to be totally honest about things. Apart from that it's in as new condition (never been gigged) and comes with a hard case. It has been upgraded to include EMG ceramic pups and an 18v preamp as opposed to the usual Tone-pump circuitry. It's a lovely bass which has a great neck and a lot of tonal variety. I wish I could keep it. I know there's a credit crunch but I'm looking for offers around £400. Thanks for looking.
11. Okay, Cheers anyway.
Sorry Captain Black, you just missed out by a smidging, the bass is now sold to Si as of the previous evening. all the best, Rasta. Irie
12. Had a rethink and decided I don't want to part with it afterall. So, looks like I'll have to start saving up for another bass. Thanks to all for the interest.
13.
More pictures coming up......
More pictures Robbie, as promised. Ta Joe
14. More pictures coming up......
15. ....................If I have to. Could really do with a Fender or G&L as a second bass though.
16. Cheers Steve, I'm not looking to take anyones hands off and I'm quite happy to keep it really.
17.
the body is gorgeous, but those inlays kill the look for me
They're pretty distictive, though I can see that they may not be everyones cup of tea.
18. Hi, Too far away Kev or too pricey, let me know either way. As I say I'm open to offers or any trades. I really just need a good second bass. Cheers, Joe
19.
Gah! I miss my old one, this looks Identical, I wonder if the guy I sold it to modded it before selling it to you? anyways how much are you asking for it?
Well, I paid 400, so somewhere in that region I think. Maybe a trade with cash going one way or the other? Who knows. Open to offers.
20. Hello all, This is just about my first post, though i've been a member a for a while. Just a feeler really to see if anyone is interested in My 4 string Spector Rebop (Sale or Trade). It's in a gloss finish and is in A1 condition except for one VERY SLIGHT indent on the back of the neck that you can't feel when youre playing. It's hand made in the Chzec Republic. The neck is great, it's a lovely bass to play but it's just not me I guess. Theres a lot of tonal control as its been fitted with an 18V actve upgrade with EMG ceramic pups. All done before I bought it. Thing is, it's just too different from my Jazz and I think I'm in need of something more traditional (J or P bass, G&L etc). Wouldn't be the end of the world if no-ones interested as I do love to play it and I think I may well regret moving it on. Apologies for the piccies as I've just taken them now and it's a bit dark. If you want anymore info or photos, let me know. Thanks, Joe
