1. I think im going to break the pattern of being second noodler this month. Away from my recording space until the weekend, so someone may well get there before me! Good start again Agwin
2. After agreeing a sale on a local facebook site, and having the bass on hold for 2 weeks, the sale has fallen through So it's up here for the price I did agree on. Also would look at trades for Precisions now. But for a trade I value this at £300. I am willing to put a bit of money toward the right bass
3. I've not heard Little Ghetto Boy before. Loved it. Cheers
4. Enjoying the diary Mark. Cant get the soundcloud page of Omater up though?
5.
Lover, You Should Have Come Over, Jeff Buckley.
Yup, this was my pick. Brother by Matt Corby too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCCfufGvepQ
6. There's always one idiot unfortunately. As is the case with most things!
7.
Lovely... very summery Hearing the similarity reminds me we should have had some sort of theme for these noodles each month, something to judge them against each other a bit easier... harmonics, chords, pick playing, slap etc.
Cheers! Yeh i agree, i'd be ok with a new "theme" (whatever it might be) decided by the previous months winner. Could be a genre, an influence, a technique, a player, or a title. Anything really
8. Trivium at a small gig somewhere in Bristol, before they got "big". As people have said, it was painful. But the kick drum was the worst thing about it. Felt like i was getting shot by a machine gun in the chest. For 90 minutes
9.
...And here it is my first noodle entry! https://soundcloud.c...oodle-1/s-VSGmO Recorded direct into Mixcraft, I added bit of chorus and Tube EQ and that's the final result...hope you guys like my "Harmonic Noodle"
It's over a minute!! Stone Him!!!! Nice to get more noodlers in, welcome!! I liked it. The run at 0.17 secs of A - B - C into your harmonics is very "portrait of tracey". I dont mean that in a bad way. Cool piece. I liked it.
10.
You should have come over & said hello.
Haha, now i know i'm welcome i will
11. He's into it. I can appreciate that! I've seen plenty who look like they don't want to be there.
12. So in the spirit of consistency, i'll go second again: https://soundcloud.c...a-fied/noodle-2 I know i said i'd do more of a proper bass line, but i didn't really want to sir, and it is a solo bass track sir, and this is just what i am "noodlin" with at the moment sir Enjoy Edit to say it is recorded in Garageband through the "classical bass guitar" sound preset, as that seemed a pretty clean sound. I don't have speakers, and cant get any monitor sound, so i only hear the recorded sound after i record. Exciting . 10% reverb.
13.
Those are new to me - look pretty good.
Great for those dark stages!
14. Luminlay fret markers Ebony fretboards White pickup covers Singlecuts
15. Lot of angry people on this thread eh Dont "hate" anything, but not a fan of: Basses with a single humbucker pickup and no pickguard That oval pickguard on Laklands Basses with no pickguard that should have one More than 5 strings
16. We used to play "Ace of Spades" for whenever anyone asked if we played any metal. That was like a full moon to the meathead werewolves for us!!
17. When you play with a pick, the movement should be from the wrist, not the elbow. It will make it less tiring for you, and if needed, will allow you to play faster. If you aren't used to playing with a pick, and you plan on doing so on saturday, i'd probably say that thinner is better!
18. Just bought an amp from Jamie. Very happy with the whole process, and the amp! Cheers
19.
p@ssword

pa55word
We went for "qwerty"
