1. Ah thats cool Bolo. Never heard of the bride walking in with the groom either. I like that!
2. Spoombung, must have been walking really slow Good track that, never heard it, or anything quite like it before either.
3. Hallelujah is a great song, but yeh i suppose on a day such as your wedding, the lyrics are quite important! I found this out when i wanted The Roots - Seed 2.0 as our first dance! Denied! I suppose that would qualify as a song not suited for a wedding!! Space chick, no music and no aisle, but doing it in vegas is cool enough. Yoou dont need any musical accompaniment!
4. I recently got married, and the wife chose the song "nothing else matters" to walk down the ailse to. I think she just earned herself a couple of extra "cool points". In my eyes at least. What about everyone else?
5. Ok neck width - At Head = 43mm At Bridge = 65mm
6. Made in America Fender Pbass plus cash from my way? Was only after a jazz, but this looks nice!!! Let me know your email if you want some pics.
7. Its a red bass, with maple neck. As for sizes, i dont know off the top of my head, but ill measure it when i get in
8. Ive got a USA precision from 2004. Ive just edited this because i only now realised i paid £525 for it, after finding the original post, not the £650 i originally thought! Too many basses!! Gets confusing keeping track!! So Trade value, and sale value £525. This is a bargain!!!!! Here is the original post so you can see pictures of the bass. I hope Dougal doesnt mind. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/201043-fs-fender-usa-precision-2004-sold-gone-au-revoir/page__fromsearch__1 Doesnt get used as i have a different Precision i use more frequently. Thought id see what trade options i could get. Im looking for a jazz. 4 or 5 string. No J/P hybrids. I have a couple of them. Just Jazzes please. Comes with original pickup and S-1 switching system. The S1 switching system makes the Pickups into humbuckers i believe. If im wrong on this feel free to correct me, but thats what it sounds like it does, to me at least. It has been set up, and will come with a new set of strings, and a choice of 3 different pick gaurds. It does have a chip on the headstock, and a chip of paint off the lower body, as original post says. Neither effects the playability of it. If the right bass comes along id be happy to put money towards it aswell.
9.
I won't be getting a bassline or two from Mr Ace until Saturday :-0
Cant believe this, he must be going soft in his old age/ young faced body!! I'll have to have a word
10. We cover: No Diggity - Blackstreet Billie Jean - MJ Seed 2.0 - The Roots Bad Romance - Lady Gaga (This gets "funked up quite a lot) Dont You Want Me Baby - Human League These are all pretty easy to play, and would sound good with 2 guitars and keys. We make a point of trying to play songs you might not expect a pub band to play. Could tell you more but then you'd be playing our set list, and we cant have that
11. What kind of PBass are you looking for mate? Do you have something in mind?
12. Pentatonics are scales. But think of them as gapped, or incomplete scales. Easier if i give you an example to illustrate what i mean. We'll use the key of C for ease. C major scale is C/D/E/F/G/A/B/C. The C major Pentatonic scale is C/D/E/G/A/C. So the pentatonic major scale is 5 notes (penta = 5), and the major scale is 7. With the pentatonic you leave out the F and the B, the 4th and 7th degrees of the scale. This is the case for all pentatonics of the major scale. Another example to show you what i mean..... E major is E/F#/G#/A/B/C#/D#, the E major pentatonic is the same, but you leave out the 4th and 7th degrees, so its E/F#/G#/B/C#. An arpeggio is when you play the notes of a chord, individually, in a sequence. In effect its just a chord thats broken up. Hope this makes sense to you. Im sure someone with more knowledge than myself will be along shortly to clarify any of my points that i havent explained very well.
13. Jon i just wanna know how much your paying these people to call you "mr ace"?!!?
14. Just completed a trade with Alan. Great comms, super fast delivery, all good!!! Cheers mate
15. Lot of experience and help on here, so thank you for that. I think ill try and see if i can have a go of a bergantino Cn212 somewhere. I cant put a finger on what it is thats made me think about changing, but currently i find myself not loving the sound that i used to. Ill try a few things out. Thanks again
16. JTUK what is it you dont like about the cabs if you dont mind me asking?
17. I am happy with my cabs, as i like that they are lightweight, and produce a good sound. I dont mind how heavy the amp is. I am thinking of upgrading, sorry i should have mentioned that.
18. My current set up is all MarkBass. But ive recently thought about changing my amp. I have a Little MKII, along with a 151 and a 102 traveller cab. Just wanted to see the opinions on here, as to what you'd run with this combo of speakers if you had the choice......
