1. Superb playing as always! Super clean too. Thanks for posting
2. I liked it! Got a groove to it. Not really the kind of music id listen to either. Cool bass sound. Guitarist has got some chops too! I like the effects he uses. Video seems well made too, although my experience is not in the visual side of things!
3. Hi mate. Welcome aboard What did you study, and where?
4. Yes sorry, i shouildnt of assumed youd know! If your ever in Wales feel free to pop round for a try
5. Ive got a Markbass 210 traveller cab, that seems to fit your pre-requisits. Ive got a 151 aswell, which also does. I cant compare them to your other options, but i can tell you that individually these cabs are superb. Clarity of tone is exceptional, plenty loud enough, and plenty light enough. When i play somewhere a little bigger, i run them together and laugh as i feel all the people holding onto their hearts in their chest as i play
6. haha, thats not a problem. either is fine with me
7. Thats good stuff mate. Can imagine it sounding quality live too! Ever down South Wales gimme a shout! Id def be up for comin for a look-see
8.
you might be thinking of the bass envelope filter pro, rather than the distortion ? if so, then yes it is ! i'll post a clip tomorrow in the relevant thread
Yeh i am, sorry. I copy and pasted the wrong pedal. They are listed next to each other on the source audio site. Cheers mate, that would be good! Ill edit the post now Look forward to your vid!
9. Ive recently started fiddling with effects more and more, and have seen a cool demo of this pedal. Anyone here have experience with one? Is it good for getting the wobble bass sound, or does it need to be played with another pedal? Any info would be appreciated Cheers
10. I agree with everyone above. Definitely better than the original. I could definitely go for harder hitting drums too. I think coming out of a PA, that would make it sound that little bit better. One suggestion, but by no means more than that as it might not work, is to use two frequencies of bass. Then wobble them at different speeds and resonances. Maybe only on certain parts to lift them up, and to give that part of the track more umph (not technical i know!)
11. Make that 5-3. Id be up for coming along if its in Cardiff. Ill keep an eye on this thread to see what happens
12. I would say Nevermind is probably my favourite of all their stuff. Certainly the CD that first got me into music. In Utero was a bit over produced for me, and Bleach was a bit too raw. Think my favourite Nirvana song was "sappy". Yours??
13. I play in an acoustic duo that do covers. Our setlist goes something like this Run No Woman No Cry Talkin bout a revolution Hometown Glory No Diggity Come Together Heard it through the grapevine Cosmic Girl Walkin In Memphis Red Stand By Me Place Your Hands Starry Eyed Drive California Dreaming Black Magic Woman Dakota Little Lion Man Mr Brightside With or Without you Stuck in the middle Sweet home Alabama I know ive forgotten some and there never in the same order, but thats pretty close to a usual set
14.
Im not sure if this will sell on here, but thought id try anyway, as ive just seen a bass thats taken my fancy! This is a great guitar, excellent condition, just has a few tiny marks on it. The Strat Plus is by far my favourite guitar Fender have ever produced and the extra features (TBX Tone, Schaller Locking Tuners, Hipshot Tremsetter and Wilkinson Nut) really elevate this guitar compared with standard American Strats. This one has the Chrome dome lace sensor p-ups, which i feel, add even more warmth to the sound. I dont know how to post pictures on the site, but if there is any interest, i can email you some straight away. Im writing this from work, so not sure of the serial number, but i think its from '91, and i can confirm that later today. Im askin £750 o.v.n.o
Gonna give this one bump for the weekend crew
15.
I can't really play slap bass but to me your playing is really tasteful and spot on and something I would love to be able to do. Might give it a go myself later. What I like about it is it is more tonally orientated rather than look at me I can play 1001 really fast slap bass notes that you normally find in slap videos. Top job and has inspired me to give it a go
Some decent introductory lessons on youtube by MarloweDK. Youve probably heard of him, but if not, just type it in the search and he'll come up. I always point people in that direction as a good starter point for anyone who wants to learn slap/pop. He's got excellent lessons for all levels of playing. Cool bloke too
16. Cool lesson Liked some of your other vids too, so ive subscribed Kert
17. Great channel!! Hope the gent "mr Boogie" hasnt left for good! Seems to be no uploads since last year

Just when I stopped playing bass, BC Member Old Git (RIP) highly recommended Mr Caulfield, that man had a wealth of knowledge concerning the budding musician.
perfect reason to get back on it! inspiration is just round the corner! was gonna say the street, but sure JC wouldnt be too pleased about that!!
