1. The Recording Engineers Handbook - a great book showing all different recording techniques and discusses the different types of mics. A great book if you want to improve your studio work. £12 posted - paypal gift payment or bank transfer
2. Why are you so far away?!?!? GLWTS - I will always have a fondness for the older eden stuff - my first high end amp was the WT800 - amazing tone!
3. Hmmm I might be interested in the bass without the preamp, if you'd post...
4. As it was my first gig with it (literally got it 2 hours before setting off for the gig!), didn't get much time to mess with it, but will report back when I've had more of a play with it!
5. ....and was pleasantly surprised! I used to have a Sansamp years ago, and with my previous rig (Eden WT800), although it was a good sound, it covered the Eden tone, so I got rid. Years later, I'm running a Blackline Markbass Lm250 with an upgraded Squier VM precision V. Its a real nice sound, but very clean sounding, so I'm always rolling off the mids. After reading loads of reviews of the BDI, I thought what the heck, and spent £25 next day from Amazon. The difference was astonishing. I'd say the pedal was just as good as the sansamp. Minimal if not no background noise, and it sat in the mix great. No loss of bottom end and sounded thick and full. Rest of the band complimented the sound, and it was real easy to dial in a balanced tone. I would highly recommend these to anyone best £25 Ive spent this year!
6. Got the exact same cab, handles all gigs with ease GLWTS
7. Brokered a deal between my lead singer and Si for a mackie desk - got deal sorted quickly, and got delivered super fast. Great guy to deal with Joe
8. I have one of these, with a few mods. Bet the nordy sounds amazing in it GLWTS

10. Samson AP1 AG1 Wireless guitar system. Got this a few months back, but after a few gigs, i've realised that i'm never more than a meter or 2 from my amp, so no need for me to be wireless. In reasonable cosmetic conditon. Price includes P+P
11.
What you've been told comes mainly from marketing departments, usually through advertising. So yes, lies.
Marketing......lie......? You sound so cynical Bill
12.
More speakers would help you more than more watts. Add another super compact. I say that knowing it's not cheap or easy to do, but the results would be better than adding more wattage.
Deffo agree - more speakers in this case is your solution. TBH, a single 12" in a loud band situation is always going to struggle, even if it is a barefaced (which are ridiculously loud!).
13. I used to have 2 BF compacts (Gen 2 i think) and they were quite loud, but I couldn't seem to get a 'smooth' sound from them....I've had a pair of Nemesis 2x10s and they were nice cabs, quite light. I went to 1 compact, and missed the oomph, so I went to a MB 104HF, which got nice compliments. I currently have a nemesis 410, which unfortunately haven't been able to test as I've only just got an amp for it (its in boot of my car as we speak!). Whichever you choose, you won't be disappointed
14. Well to keep everyone updated, I've just pulled the trigger on a blackline LM250. Bought a Eden Nemesis N410RS 4ohm cab, which when picking it up, feels loads smaller than my old 104HF. All in, my entire rig was under £300, so all in all, I think it should hopefully handle most gigging situations
15. Why are you so far away! GLWTS
16. Well thought I'd keep everyone updated... Hopefully should be picking up a old eden nemesis 410 4ohm so will be a nice one cab solution. Now looking at a 250 - 300watt head to power it. Whats the Lm250 blackline like guys? I had a lm2 running through a 8ohm cab, and it was great. Would i get the same kinda output with the 250?
17. Love the Lakland If these cabs are as good as the bh500 head they were made for, someones in for a cracking bargain
18. Well cheers for everyones inpuy the kind helpful response ive come to expect from BC'ers. I'm off on holiday next weekend, then its serious looking time, as my first gig of the year is in july. Will keep you all in the loop what I end up with
19. Id be all over this if I didnt have a holiday in 2 weeks :/ GLWTS
20. Ive been thinking about the older, heavier stuff, as I wont be gigging loads (atm anyways!) Plus the heavy stuff always sounded great
