1. As it says on the tin. Nothing else to say really. Here is a link if you're unsure what i mean. Link to Strap Locks £6 posted and they're yours. Paypal only please, as i need to top it up!
 2. I'd have taken this by now if this was in the UK. I've already got its bigger bro 800rb. And it f****n rawks.
Not time wasting at all - or no more so than any of the other gear I peruse. Isn't this what the internet is for anyway (in one form or the other, so to speak ) ?
3. PM'd
Looking for a change. Anything cool considered, can trade up or down plus / minus cash if necessary or direct sale for £750. Black MM Stingray 2EQ with custom scratchplate and new MM Hardcase. Fantastic bass. In really good condition with just a hint of very slight surface scratches that would only show up on a black guitar if you squint and stand on 1 leg. This bass won't dissapoint.
4. I have aquired this from the guitarist in my band. An '82 L Series Jazz Sound, in near mint condition. Un-modded, hardly played and very clean. Sure you guys know the geeky stuff, here's some pics;
 5. PM'd
I see this is on hold, but even so, how much would you let her go for?
6. Ive got an 82 Jazz Sound. Also known as the JB45R model, i think. Mine also has 45 stamped on it.
Anyone out there?
7. Nice one. I've dealt briefly with Alex as I think he's new to that department. He's sorting me out some gk merch to give away at my next slash tribute gig. Pretty cool! Enjoy it. I'm found mostly club and pub shows at the mo so the 2001rb barely gets a look in as I got the 800rb. But those 410rbh cabs sound huge anyway.
Alex (artist relations) from Polar Audio came up yesterday to deliver it personally, awesome dude (though I knew that anyway from all the help he's given me) and had a chat then came to see us do a song at band practice and get some pics. It really does sound great, I wasn't really expecting to use the distortion much but it really does add to the sound, so it's great for things like guitar solos where, because we only have one guitarist, it fattens up the overall sound. Got a gig on Saturday so it'll be properly broken in then! The footswitchable mute is pretty useful too. Only got one cab at the moment though, another one's on it's way somewhere in the world. Can't see me NEEDing it for many gigs at the moment, but hey, it'll be enough to put out a few windows when it arrives.
8. I assume you've fired up the monster then?
Bump because this is now only the 2nd best amp I've used in my entire life. My new 2001RB and 410RBH taking the top spot! Basically the same as this but footswitchable and with a distortion channel (which is meatier than a piece of meat). I'm looking at a couple of trade offers at the moment (one's very tempting especially) but nothing's final yet.
9. Bump for 1/3 of tickets sold. Another 1/3 accounted for. Would be good for BassChatters to be there to get your thoughts on my sound etc.
Will do Jon. Im sure we'll be up there soon. Saying that its only an hour on train, and dirt cheap accomodation down here. Either that or find a floor. It will be worth it dude.
10. This is the case i got - Flightcase Warehouse Case A bit of a monster.
I picked up a couple of things similar to this: so weight isn't such an issue since it'll just be stairs that I have to carry it over up/down of the time and I'll have help for that. I'll just be getting a standard shallow 4u case for mine I expect, the one I have has done me fine but I just won't have the room to get away with keeping a full size one instead of getting a shallow one. What shockmounted case do you have out of interest?
11. You're in for a shock when you realise how heavy the items you ordered actually are. I put my 2001rb in a shockmounted case, probably the craziest thing ive done. My band mates are scared of it, and stay away when its load-in time.
Thanks guys. Yeah it took a while for it to come through but it'll be worth the wait. I'm like a 10 year old at xmas, only I've woken up about a week early instead of just the usual 2am wake up!
12. Welcome to the "GK big-rig" club dude. You're gonna have an amazing setup. Glad the Polar boys helped you out in the end.
OK, firstly apologies, this has been up before and I've had to take it down due to paper pushing taking longer than expected, but it's back up now and everything's final, so this is looking for a new home ASAP. This is a man's bass amp! It's downside is that it's a bit of a weighty beast, but my god, it sounds and looks amazing. I can genuinely say that I never intend to move away from this gear (only selling because I'm expecting a delivery of my 2001RB and first of two 410RBHs on Tuesday! ). I always managed to move it around with little trouble, but I did buy a couple of trollies for long distances and they're no problem at all to wheel about. The head puts out 480w into 4ohm or 320w into 8 ohm, each cab is 8 ohm with two 10" speakers. Everything's bi-amp compatable and the leads are including. I'm selling the head (including a 4u rack case, but not tuner) and both cabs, I may split if people are interested in the head and at least one cab but I'd rather keep the whole lot together for ease. It has the 2 4 pin speakons to use bi-amping and the kettle lead for the head. The whole rig is less than a year old and was bought from GAK and Thomann. It's been used quite a lot but is still in full working order and has never given me any problems. I'd prefer pickup or delivery (depending on petrol money and location, I could possibly deliver if you're near a gig). I will be prepared to get it couriered at buyer's cost, but it's pretty weighty. Pics: Full stack. Cab back panel. The wear on the corners. The only damage on it is the corners and there's a scratch underneath the head from racking it. One of the bits of metal that extends from the back of the head is bent, but I assume that's a factory flaw since the paint's perfect over it and I'd have noticed dropping it, plus it's been racked since I've owned it. As said in the title, I'm looking for £1000, I'd be looking at about £330 per cab or £350 for head and rack case. I'm open to offers though. For trades I'd be looking for a 5 stringer with 2 pups (pref not soap bars). I'm very tempted by Dingwals or MM Bongos, but I'll take a look at anything. I'm also open to offers of a cheaper bass plus cash. For obvious reasons I'm not interested in trading this for another amp. Let me know if there's any questions. Thom
13. Don't fancy a Lakland Duck Dunn then?
Bump
14. I'm sure you guys know all about these basses. One of the most sought after basses in their range. Mine is a 2008 model when they were supplied with the Gigbags and Crafted in Korea. Has only been gigged a handful of times. No wear as far as i can see. Will also be supplied with two scratchplates. The original white one, and a Black one. Here is the speal about Duck and his Lakland: Duck Dunn's grooving bass is part of a '60s sound so distinctive that it is referred to as the "Stax Sound" to this day. He's backed Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, and Albert King; he's worked with everyone from Roy Buchanan to Bob Dylan, and Rod Stewart to Muddy Waters and Neil Young. With Booker T. and the M.G.s, Duck recorded bass parts so undeniably funky that they have influenced generations of bassists ever since. Duck is a key member of the Blues Brothers Band, and one of the world's preeminent players. * Nut Width: 1.5" * Nut Type: Delrin * Fret Size: .041/.085" * Width at Final Fret: 2.5" * 1st Fret Neck Depth: .77" * 12th Fret Neck Depth: .94" * Fingerboard Radius: 10" * Fingerboard Blocks and Binding: Yes * Scale Length: 34" * Frets: 20 * Bridge String Spacing: .78" * Neck Wood: Flat-Sawn Maple * Body wood: Ash * Fingerboard: Rosewood * Tuners: Hipshot Lisc. Ultra-Lite's * Truss Rod Access: Neck Heel: 4mm Hex * Pickguard: Yes * Controls: Volume/Tone * Bridge: Lakland Dual Design * Pickups: New Lakland Hybrid Spilt Pickup I've got my eye on a Stingray on the forum, but if you have one you want to swap? Not too fussed on colour as long as its got a Rosewood Fretboard and NOT Natural.
 15. Will do Jon. Im sure we'll be up there soon. Saying that its only an hour on train, and dirt cheap accomodation down here. Either that or find a floor. It will be worth it dude.
Nice one Chris! A bit too far away for me but if you come to London I'll be there. Be sure to keep us posted please. Cheers, Jon
16. Hi Guys This is my new venture that has been along time in progress. Finally booked our first show, to hopefully start something big. We have got sponsorship from Marshall Amplification, Ernie Ball Strings and Jim Dunlop Accessories who, for our opening night have given us some great prizes for lucky ticket buyers. We will be giving away about £800 worth or products from these companies on the night. Here the the details; Band: "Slash and Friends Tribute" Event: Live Performance of Slash's Solo World Tour Set Date: Friday 10th December 2010 Time: 8.00pm-Very Late Venue: White Horse Music Venue - 39 Chichester Rd, BOGNOR REGIS, West Sussex PO21 2XH - Link to Venue Price: £5.00 (£6.00 inc. Recorded Delivery via www.tiny.cc/slashtribute) Brief: It all started after Gavin Barnard had a 3 year stint with top Guns N Roses tribute "Guns 2 Roses" After leaving Guns 2 Roses and gaining the respect and reputation as the best Slash and Guns N Roses tribute in the world, he thought it would be great to play Slash's back catalogue instead of just Guns N Roses. Now in 2010, and after the release of Slash's solo album, there is no better time to hit the road. Booking enquiries have been coming in after word spread of the new venture. "Slash and Friends" will be playing there first show in their home town of Bognor Regis. The event is sure to sell out, after 3 previous Guns 2 Roses shows in Gavin's home town did the same in record time at the venue. Slash only did one UK club show, so it would be good for people to hear the songs off the record in a live situation. Our set will include hits such as Sweet Child O' Mine, Civil War, Night Train by Guns N Roses. Beggars and Hangers On, Mean Bone by Slash's Snakepit. Slither, Fall to Pieces, Dirty Little Thing by Velvet Revolver. As well as Slash's solo songs Back from Cali, Ghost, Starlight and Dr. Alibi. A total 90-mins of Slash's history. To purchase tickets visit - www.tiny.cc/slashtribute or call 01243 868666 for more info.
 17. Hi dude Sorry to be a pain. The casters you use, did they fit in the GK mounting hole? Many thanks
I'm not looking to part exchange unfortunately as i'd like to shop around for a bit before making a decision on my next amp. 21. Bump, on eBay for £100 now. This us an amazing pedal for valve amps. With features perfect for bass. With a wide range of dynamic tones from supple and clear to warm and punchy! The Pork Loin's amazing features and superior functionality distinguish it from the mass of clones on the market today! The Pork Loin incorporates two distinct tonal pathways that are blended together¿a modern soft clipping overdrive and a modified classic British preamp for clean. At the heart of the Pork Loin's overdrive path is a soft clipped BiFET gain stage with a low pass filter TONE control, rounded out by a CURVE function that gives the user freedom to fine-tune corner frequencies. The VOLUME control regulates the masses of pork power that exude from its space age circuitry, leaving room for the CLEAN control to blend in its warm glistening clean tones. Additionally, the Pork Loin has three internal mini controls for fine-tuning the pedal to your guitar rig. internal mini controls: FILTER deliver extensive tonal shaping possibilities for the British preamp, while the overdrive MIX control allows the Pork Loin to be run as a clean preamp. Additionally, the PRESENCE control tweaks the high end on the overdrive. INTERNAL CONTROLS These controls are for fine-tuning to your guitar and amp rig: Filter - adjusts the clean preamp tonal spectrum Voice - cuts the mid frequencies of the clean Presence - tweaks the high end on the overdrive Drive Mix - controls the mix of the overdrive. Turn this all the way down to get only clean British preamp tones with no overdrive. CONTROLS VOLUME - regulates the masses of pork power that exude from its space age circuitry TONE - adjusts the overdrives tonal spectrum OVERDRIVE - emanates smooth soft clipped overdrives waves CLEAN - blends in warm glistening clean tones CURVE - for fine-tuning corner frequencies of the overdrive FOOTSWITCH - toggles the effect on/bypass (blue LED indicates effect is ON)
Will update spec when not on iPhone. Great condition and sound. Just want a pre-amp with distortion instead!
22. Let me know a price on the neck if you do. If my finances are good I'd be very interested.
Yeah it's got some nice grain going on - pics don't really do it justice! The neck's nice as well. It's as good as any genuine Fenders out there - it's a shame peeps are put off cos it's a bitsa - but that's the way of the world. Ironically I's probably do better splitting it - don't want to do that though!
23. If it is can i have the neck?
Is that my Christmas body?
24. Will update spec when not on iPhone. Great condition and sound. Just want a pre-amp with distortion instead!
 25. Jack bought my bass body. Paid up straight away and great communication.
Spent a pleasant hour with Jack today picking up a gorgeous Lakland Duck Dunn. He was kind enough to let me play his AC 5 string which was stunning and Status PJ which was utterly astounding! Thanks again Jack and if you ever do decide to part with the Status...
