1. Thats a rediculously cheap price for that cab. They're monsterous, i should know i have two! Don't think i could squeeze in another tho. Bump!
Had a couple of people interested in the combo so I'll sell that seperately as long as there's a definite buyer for the cab too (But I'd still rather sell them together.) I'm thinking £230 for the combo and £120 for the cab, sound fair? Cash or bank transfer, no offers please! Cheers folks.
2. Hey Dude May have someone interested in these. Are you seriously asking £350 for both? Thats a MEGA BARGAIN! The new prices, what model 410RBH is it? the 4 or 8 ohm?
Pictures will follow tomorrow, just wanted to get this up here as soon as. Just checked the bank balance so these need to go unfortunately, Gallen Krueger 700RB 115 Combo amp, chucks out 225w on its own or a decent 380w when coupled with the 410 cab. Plenty loud enough to play most small/medium sized pubs or clubs, and although its obviously been gigged its in good overall condition. The carpet covering on the combo is good, the covering on the cab is ok but could be better, better seen than described really! The actual amp in the combo is in great condition, and the combo has the GK lock and roll system (with a nice handle that come sout to help you move it around.) Here's the manwell for the combo; http://www.gallien-krueger.com/manuals/700rb.pdf Like I said, I'll get pics up tomorrow of them both. Collection from myself in North London, comes with proper GK bi-amp lead (and the bi-amped sound is fantastic.) £350 for the pair, will possibly split if theres definite buyers for both. I could put this up for £380 or whatever and get offers but I think £350 is a fair price. This would make an excellent gigging rig if you're not too bothered about your set-up not being in showroom condition and want something loud, great sounding and very reliable. Any questions please ask away! (here's pictures of what they look like new...)
3. Best looking Geddy ever! Black, B/W/B and Maple. Yummy! Although i would swap out the neck pickup for a P-Bass one!
Get in touch with bass doc on here, he'll make you a perfect one
4. Bargain Price for that case! What makes you want to downsize!?? lol Just out of interest, what do you use the patchbay in the rack for?
Downsizing my rig a bit, getting rid of some amps and therefore don't need this rackcase any more Here are some pictures I'm after £100 for it but open to offers. DOES NOT INCLUDE CONTENTS OF RACK I also have a 3u rack drawer in here that I will include for an additional £30 I can't post this but I am on tour for most of April and May so maybe I'm coming close to you. www.myspace.com/ourinnocencelost Cheers
5. Damn, if only it had a Jazz Neck! Someones gonna get a bargain!
I've had this a matter of weeks and am seriously impressed, but my dream bass has come up and I am going to buy it all being well. In order to do so however I have to sell this beautiful Lakland to fund it. I bought this recently off Paul (Platypus) and am seriously impressed. It's of typical Lakland construction quality, is a good weight and wired up with a Fralin pickup so sounds immense. It is also incredibly easy to play and has a nice thinnish neck (not quite as thin as the DD jazz neck though). It's in a niw discontinued colour and is in excellent condition apart from a ding near the bottom strap button. It comes with a Levy's Lakland branded gigbag in excellent condition (apart from the stitching coming loose on the top pocket) and is strung with La Bella Deep Talkin Flats. I'm asking for the price I paid for the bass (£480 plus P&P) but will advertise this on Ebay for a higher price to cover their extortionate fees! This is a quality alternative to Fenders and is a really good deal at this price.
6. BUMP! Have the Zoom on Hold but the BBE is still available.
I have these two units in good working order. Shipping would be £7.50 (Courier) I have attached two stock images as i am at work, posting this. I can post actual pics if required. Both come with power supplies. BBE 482 - "The BBE process restores the time alignment of the frequency spectrum, compensating primarily for delayed high frequencies. Our ears give special treatment to those sounds that arrive first. Delaying high frequencies makes for an indistinct sound. BBE gets the high- and upper-mid frequencies out front, restoring the openness and clarity of the audio in the process. The BBE process also offers some time-corrected low-frequency EQ. The no-frills 482 offers the basic BBE control set, which consists of low contour and process knobs. Low contour boosts the level of the time-corrected low frequencies, while the process knob does the same for high frequencies" Zoom 1201 - "Affordable Digital reverb and multi-effect rackmount effects processor. Exciting new effects like "Low-Fi", "Karaoke" and "Auto-Filter". A total of 363 preset patterns (11 effects x 3 banks x 11 variations). World Class reverb with a wide, natural sound stage. Fully professional specifications such as 44.1 kHz Sampling and 18 bit A/D and D/A converters. Full stereo implementation ensures professional performance with any type of source material. Full complement of front panel rotary controls for easy operation and programming." I would only really be interested in a sale, or trade both these units for a Gallien Krueger Diesel Dawg or MXR M-80 Bass Di.
7. Dont suppose you would fancy a swap for my BBE 482 and Zoom 1201 rack units i'm selling in another post?
Was given this in lieu of payment for something and seeing as I already own one, thought would stick it on here. Brand new and boxed. I opened the packet to put a battery in and test but that's it, late 2009 model with manual etc. £100 to your door(2nd hand ones go for around £90ish)!
9. Hey Chud There isn't much depth to the Korg Tuner (i have the DTR-2000) So if you fan is top mounted then just make sure you have enough clearance. I dont think having the two together will cause any problems for you what so ever. So many of us have a similar rig. Go for it!
Thanks dude, do you think there will be a problem with the 2 systems close together overheating?
10. Ive got my custom bass design which is pretty much what you guys are talking about.
Nah, but I like the idea of them
11. Keep us updated with your findings when you gig it etc. Will sound killer!
I took delivery of a new Fusion 550 this morning. I've only run it briefly but it sounds awesome, absolutely massive tone. I love it!
12. When it left me it was immaculate. And i'm with you on the neck front. I can only play with Jazz necks.
It's had a few owners, yes, but they've all taken extremely good care of it: it's in fantastic nick. I wouldn't be without an active bass and I managed to coax a wide range of sounds out of the OLP - Stingray, of course, but also Jazz and nearly a P-bass - but I have been so spoiled by my skinny Yamaha neck that nothing else feels comfortable. I'm sure it will find Mr Right soon.
13. Definately perfect for experimenting with the whole active thing. Really not for me. But such a cool bass.
Tis a great bass & Stevie was very easy to deal with. Perhaps this could be the most owned bass on the forum? It's one for all the Precision boys to dip a toe into the water with!
14. This isn't the whore of a OLP bass that myself and Burrito bass have owned? Was such a nice bass, i just couldn't use an active bass in my rig! Good luck whoever has it. quote name='stevie' date='Feb 22 2010, 09:02 PM' post='754368'] This bass has now been sold twice over. So, please, no more offers from people who need me to ship. However, as I stated in my original post, I'm offering first refusal to anyone who can collect personally, for obvious reasons. For reasons that are also obvious, I cannot keep people who have already agreed to buy the bass waiting for ever. So, I'm going to let this run for another couple of days. Then it's gone.
15. SOLD!
Here i have two as-new Chrome P-Bass knobs. Purchased in error, as i wanted black. Knurled Flat-Top Aluminium light-weight knob, chrome finish. Comes with flat-head adjusted tightening grub screw to secure to pot shaft. 1/4" hole size specifically for CTS250SS Solid Shaft CTS pots. Also suitable for solid shaft CTS pots on USA Fender guitars.
16. Wow, havent seen one in this colour. Does this have the Jazz or P Neck? I know Lakland have a habit of changing bits around.
PM'd bump
18. All Done. All Hardware is now black. Sounds great too, now i've added a Duncan Quarter Pounder. Played a show last weekend with it. I now want a Jazz Bass with PJ configuration in this style.
Slowly changing the hardware over to black now, i love the tuners so much i have to go black. So its gonna look good! 21. If i was the winner of this, would i be the most hated person on the forum? ... I didn't win it buy the way. The Misses would go mental with this next to my two 4x10s! haha
Me too
22. Hey Tombboy, You got Paul correct down to every detail. A long time friend of mine, bass collector and Rep for EBS. He has tech'd for me a few times, as well as supplying some EBS gear. He took me down to meet Bernie Goodfellow in the "GB Den" If you meet him again. Just mention the word "bass" and he'll talk for hours.... you'll probably miss the gig. haha. Russell Hastings who is the singer for From the Jam is also a local guy.
Throw him an email and ask him through his official site. He's a very very approachable guy who I've met a couple of times.... the last time when we supported FTJ in December 08. I'm sure he'd love to give you a heads up. Whilst your doing that, point him in the direction of this site. I remember mentioning it to him at the gig and he seemed very enthusiastic about checking it out. You never know..... he may be lurking! His sound guy by the way is a chap called Edd Higdon who I'm good friends with (no.... it's NOT how we got the gig!!). He runs a sound production company called CSS Pro or something, based in Poole. This is us with Bruce after the Dec gig
23. Yes thats correct. RS66LD 45-105, not sure what was used on the Waterstone bass. But definately Rotos on his Precisions.
Thanks for the info Chris, any idea what gauge strings Bruce is using?
24. Been looking for one of these. How much for shipping? - What brand/quality is this?
Hey fellow basschatters, I have a 4U shock mounted case for sale £80 or trade, i am looking for a 2U shock mounted flight case the same design as my curent 4u case with some cash which we can sort out via pm etc Theres a few scratches on the outside of the case from use. Nothing Major at all. Theyr all very small. Ill give the case a clean before you take it off my hands. This case is quite big! its slightly shorter than it is wide so id say that its about 18" deep (when the ends have been taken off) as its a 19" standard case, although i havent measured it. This case will survive almost anything! Feel free to ask any questions! i would prefer this to be picked up. thanks here is a picture of the case to give you an idea of the shock mounting that it has etc
25. what are you looking for in a p/x or trade?
Bump!
