1. The 70's seem to get all the attention - would love some thoughts on early 80's Fender P's - back to CBS, thus an upturn in quality? gaining in value maybe as the years tick on? Any info appreciated

what's the nut made of? can u outline the controls, ie. what the switches do etc?
5. what' s the white bass? is it a Hofner?
6. This is a beautiful guitar! Good condition for five years old, and a bargain price for sheer quality. Made in 2005, (according to serial number) USA built, it is a Gibson J45 from their Historic Collection series. It plays crisp and clear and also great for some blues picking. Deep tones also. Sustain goes on and on and on, and when I recorded with this the mics in the studio had to be so carefully positioned because it has such amazing projection. Great vintage sunburst finish Woods: Spruce top, Honduran mahogany back and sides. Rosewood neck. Pick up: LR Baggs pick up - within body. Battery controlled. Nut: Bone Saddle: Tusq Action: Middle - ie. lies just perfect and not too high or low to buzz. Condition: Bloody good - Some streaks of wear, ie. it has been played, but no scratches or dents or dings. Deluxe hardshell case. Am in Coventry and it can be collected, but will ship within UK only, if needed. Buyer pays shipping costs. HAVING REAL PROBS UPLOADING FOR SOME REASON - IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE PHOTOS I CAN E-MAIL
7. just checked that demo out Gareth and it certainly has some sweet tone - go for it
8. oh i thought i read somewhere it was just boost, if u can cut trebs then that would be better as I find the trebs a bit nasally on MM's -
9. Birmingham wants to be like Coventry, it's just too big and full of itself to ever get close - Hey, I've been to Ostend(e) I'll have you know, on a school trip - 15 years old and drank plenty of the local brew..
10. joachim is a good guy - buy with confidence
11. I'm considering a 2eq MM - - but if the eq is boost only in 2eq models i worry cos I always find Stingrays a bit too trebly and with my current 3eq I'm able to use the cut option and get the sound I prefer: does anyone have an opinion on how prominent the treble is on 2eq cos if it's too prominent and I can't use a cut facility I'd worry i've got my eyes on an early 80's model btw
12. yeah used an ashdown combo some years back and always liked it as it goes
13. Currently have a LMKii which packs a punch and sounds sweet and pretty warm when compared tonally to my Bassman 135 - not the same obviously but has an affinity - what other amps in this style ie. small compact wattage monsters do people feel come close to older school sounds - SWR? EA? EBS? TC?
14. even better with the seymour pick up
