1. Anybody using one of these and got any feedback they'd like to share. Cheers.
2. I'll take the Gotoh Bridge mate, pm me payment details.
3. Comparing the pictures against the two i have here i am 100% certain it's an LTD 83. They're actually a pretty good solid bass. The body is actually ash, not alder as the seller discribed, and the neck has a much flatter profile when compared to a Squire. I reported this on Saturday, but have heard nothing since, and i see it still running and been bid up to eighty-odd quid. Just for reference, the last one of bought a couple of months ago cost me £30. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220828808298&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
4.
All well and good, but 'Star Wars Encyclopedia'? Tragic!
Busted
5. Have you looked here http://www.spectorbass.com/index.html Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Model History". Should tell you all you need to know.
6. Nearly there now, decal applied, headstock laquered, tuners and string tree fitted and neck attached to the body. All that's left now is to take it to my local tech guy to get a bone nut made and fitted (hopefully next week) and Robert's your mothers brother.
7. Not sure if this is a genuine mistake or not, but i am 99% sure that this is an Encore LTD 83. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290625811099&category=4713&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 The tuners and string tree are definatly from an Encore and i'm sure the LTD 83 was the only bass they made with gold hardware. Also i can see the fading on the wood where the Encore QC sticker was. It does look very much like somebody has just swapped the neck plate and added a new decal and the story seems a bit long winded to just be a mistake. Do you think it's worth emailing the seller to let him know. I know even as a Squire it's not going to fetch silly money, but shouldn't the new owner actually be aware of what he is buying?
8. That looks very nice, good work fella.
9. Decided it ain't the speaker as it's stopped doing it for now. Must be some sort of dodgy connection. Having never taken an amp to pieces before, if it was a bad connection, would it be obvious to the untrained eye, or should i just take it to somebody who knows what they're doing? P.S. I accidently posted this in the wrong section, could a mod please move it to somewhere more relavant.
10. Tried it with about five different leads, makes no difference.
11. I have a problem with my Crate BT100 combo. Basically, whenever i plug in and turn on, everything is fine for about a minute, then i get this interferance like crackling sound coming through the speaker. I have plugged my headphones in and everything seems to be fine then, so would i be right in thinking it's a speaker problem? The combo is rated at a 100w, but i've never taken it past halfway. Any ideas before i lug the thing off to a repairer?
12. Just like to add that the Schecter was mine until a couple of weeks ago, and is a very nice bass for the money. The ding is nothing much, and apart from that it is in really good nick. It plays really nice and would be a great buy for anyone looking for their first fiver, or a cheap back up bass. I can also say that Mel is a great person to deal with.
13.
Is there any interest in the Ryder if I part it out?
May be interested in the pup. Are you sure it's a Stealth as i thought they had black pole pieces?
14. Sold a bass to Mel. A pleasure to deal with and would happily trade with her again.
15. I totally agree with the op, i too love both the bass guitar and music, and on the odd, rare occasion, i sometimes even manage to combine the two.
16. I'll take that bridge mate, pm me your payment details please.
17.
Pics added bump Neck sold.
Still waiting on a pic of the Gotoh mate.
18. PM sent on Gotoh bridge.
19. So if this gets bid up to say, two grand, how much is this guy going to owe Ebay in seller fees?
20.
I'd have that pickguard (Pearloid) in a flash if it had the proper cut away for the truss rod
Console yourself with the knowlage then that it's just plain black, not pearloid. Tuners now sold.
21. I'm not sure whether they can be reversed or not.
22. Sold subject to payment.
23.
Is the scratchplate left handed?
Nope, it's a regular righty.
