(Listed yesterday in Amps and Cabs - realised it was in the wrong forum, went to delete and can't find so a mod must have beaten me to it) Hi folks, Bought this listed as new from eBay and have not ever used it as I've moved to 12s! £100 collected from Herefordshire/Gloucestershire or can post for £8. Here's a link to the technical bumpf: http://www.eminence.com/pdf/Basslite_C2515.pdf Any questions just yell - it's boxed so not much point in me taking a photo ;-) Cheers, James

Hi folks, This is surplus to requirements which is a shame as it's a helluva bass. Recently set up and restrung with Dunlop 45-100 stainless it's a nice light weigh and has a VERY versatile 3 band EQ on it. Condition is great with only minor marks here and there. £175, postage available at £15 or collection from Ledbury in Herefordshire, Gloucester in, erm, Gloucestershire or I can meetup for petrol monies! Which Current Fender Jazzes Have The 70s Reposition?

What about the Squier VM Jazz '77? -
Okay, so a few more details as I wind down from a pretty crappy week. I couldn't make it to collect myself, so arranged for a chap to go and get it for me from Shiply - that's a fantastic website and if you persevere you can often get a quote that's the right price. I did and three days after collection, it was here. The driver said the people he collected from were friendly and no drama, so all pretty straightforward. Realistically, the van should have had a biohazard sign on it, the bass was that filthy. Seriously, beyond disgusting - I can only imagine that it was used to stir a slurry pit for the last few years. So, after about three hours worth of cleaning (took everything off that could come off), a nice new set of strings and a full setup, we have this: And it's really rather tasty. Bartolini pickups, through body stringing and a through neck all mean that the tone is VERY nice. I've been able to get the action down nice and low without any buzz with just the right amount of neck relief (gnats todger, anyone?). All the electrics work great and the EQ is very effective. I'm rather taken with it - I really want a nice light Jazz so I'll be watching to see if any trades come up as I already have the active Ibanez thing covered, but for the total paid (£85 at auction, delivery, strings and my time) I'm a very happy bunny!

Well it's here...

Haha, I am the winner 'bidder' on that SR900 - I bought it because I'm looking for something cheap, decent and light. Collecting this week so I'll let you know whether it was the bargain it hopefully appears to be!

Jammy git! Great stuff though mate, have a blast and make sure you take lots of photos and post 'em here!

The Bugera BN410TS 1000w 4x12 Cab - anyone tried it?

I'd be interested in the 2x10 if I went head and cab again but I'd want them to be cheap! -
I've spied a bass collection in the classifieds! Thanks folks

Where are you? I have a battered old Peavey you can borrow for as long as you need if you wanted to pick it up.

Thanks folks! Need to explore some of these options. The VM precision a sound like an interesting option, as I love the look of them. Funny because when I think of precision I tend to think 'boat anchor'!

Hi folks, I'm recovering from a back injury and need to source a lightweight bass - doesn't need to be SUPER light but anything standard P or J bass would be a little too much and limit my playing time. So, what cheap basses are light? Trying before I buy not really an option due to limited time able to be spent in the car. Looking at something like an Ibby SR370? Cheers, James

Realistically, are either the 100 or 200 giggable without PA support ?

2 x Guitar and Drummer seek a bass player to complete the lineup for a rock covers band to get out and gig! Band is only just forming but all experienced players and looking for someone who is easy going but dedicated enough to learn the set (think good quality Pub Rock). Rehearsals weekly and gigs soon after, own transport a must! We are all in our thirties but age unimportant really, it's more about a good attitude and a bit of ability. Drop me a PM if this sounds like something you'd be interested in!
