1. Hi folks I felt the need to post something on here to say how incredibly impressed I am with Bassgear (the shop). Two nights ago I dropped them a mail regarding a PX, I got a detailed valuation straight back, together with the history of a couple of basses I had my eye on. I said I was hoping to be in the area on business but may not make it before they closed, no problem, they agreed to stay open. I pulled into the car park yesterday at 5pm and both the guys working said hi, asked me how the journey was, told me to try anything I liked and made me a cup of tea. Over an hour later, I decided on my trade and we agreed a deal which actually meant I paid £0 and left with what I feel was absolutely the bass for me (an upgraded MIM Jazz). Couldn't be happier with it and the perfect backup for my other Jazz. So I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the guys at Bassgear - truly world class customer service and a great deal! I'm a happy camper and they will be my go-to guys for bits and pieces in the future. www.bassgear.co.uk - recommended, folks.
2. Hi folks, Just removed from my backup Jazz and fully working! Fantastic set of pickups. £75 to your door Cheers!
3. What don't you like about your Squier? The New Mexican Jazzes are a mixed bag, get a good one and they are very bit as good as the USA models, get a bad one and they can sound dead as you like...
4. Last bump for trades and sales or it's being traded! Am off to Cobham tomorrow if you wanted to collect from darn saaarf?
5. Another satisfied customer here - thanks Jim

7. Howdy! Always happy to listen but would prefer a straight sale, let me know what you are thinking of! Cheers, James
8. Folks, this is an awesome bass - played it today and I think Jim is underselling it, fantastic tone and sounds and plays like buttah! The damage Jim mentions had to be pointed out to me and really doesn't seem an issue at all.
9. Played this earlier today - what a BEAST! Major tone machine and that neck is just lovely!
10. Today only - collection over the weekend. No case! £500
11. Hi folks, Follow this thread! At 11am today I will announce a crazy price for it to be collected this weekend! First come, first served! Cheers, James
12. It has INSANE growl - I had no idea they were so aggressive. You can get it to calm down with a touch of rolloff on the Vol though
13. Your Geddy + a few quid cash adjustment for my Warwick FNA of any interest to you sir? Cheers! James
14. It's not so much the tone, more the headroom - given an easy life, a MiBass is a nice sounding setup but if you're expecting that, for want of a better word, brutality you get from old school gear, I'm not sure it'll cut it.
15. I'm not an Ashdown basher, but to me they don't have the Trace sound I love, no. The MiBass was very disappointing for me too, totally gutless - LOUD, yes but when subjected to a gig level beating, it ran out of steam. It's not alone in this as I've found digital amps to often suffer from this in a way that old-skool, back pain-inducing amps never seem to. I've currently got a Fender BXR head - incredibly unfashionable but it can destroy small towns.
16. Andy, interested in a cash adjustment my way and your Geddy for my Warwick FNA (4 string)? Cheers!
17. A few sniffs but it's still here! Would like it gone ASAP so happy to listen to offers
18. I'd tend to agree - I felt the same when I had an 'on tour' compact. Amazing sound cab but really didn't sparkle in the way I like when used with a P. It was better with the stingray copy I had but ultimately I knew it wasn't right for me.
