1. Hi folks, Last night's gig decided me, I'm so happy with my bitsa Jazz that this one is up for sale. It's a 'Crafted in Japan' '62 reissue Jazz (1997). It used to belong to the Quireboys (no I've no idea either) and has been gigged, there's some marks here and there so it's nicely 'roadworn'. The setup is nice, new Roto 45-105s and the pickups have plenty of poke and jazz honk by the bucketload. It's very light, comfy to play and DOES have a scratchplate (off white/aged kind of colour) - I'll grab some pics with that fitted so you can see. So, looking for £595 and that's pretty much fixed as I'm not bothered if this doesn't sell. Would consider trades for other 4 strings, amps and cash my way to top up any deal is fine too. Collection would be from Halifax in West Yorkshire, but I can often deliver as work takes me around the country. 2. If you can post for a tenner (which should be doable by interparcel) I'll take the precision?
3. Marking this as SOLD - no access to a PC so will update thread title when I do
4. Hi folks, What a bargain! 4 string Aria IGB4. £100 collected from Halifax. Good condition but with odd marks here and there, great finish! Cheers James
5. I'm guessing its just there to stop you from removing the scratchplate!
6. In my opinion, the CV guitars are the best models available in terms of bang for the buck. Superb!
7. Under scratchplate:
8. I can check tomorrow morning - am away tonight! Lots of interest in this bad boy
9. I keep a sandwich under there for longer gigs Actually, I've no idea, I've never removed it - what would you expect to see?
10. Sold Cliff a Hiscox case. Dead easy transaction - top man!
11. Yeah, comes with a bog standard hard case and I can post, but it'd take a few days to organise as I'd want to make sure I could get the stuff to package it up properly! Postage would be about £15 + insurance via Interparcel?
12. Hi folks, Having JUST bought this from richardd (deal with confidence, he's a top bloke), I've gotta move it on quickly as I've just landed myself a rather nice old Squier that I'm so happy with. This is a superb bass - it's got the real feel of a good old Jazz, regardless of what you consider about the relicing (which is the standard Fender stuff, it's not been added to) the body resonates in a way that modern Jazzes just don't. The neck is stunning too and I was considering popping it onto the Squier but I'm not going to. It's an awesome thing that I love to bits but just cannot justify it at all. So, grab it while you can. Collection only or personal delivery anywhere between Manchester and Leeds for petrol money. Comes with hard case. 13. Headstock end! Sorry if the pics aren't clear but deffo headstock end.
14. Hmmm, bit of a mystery then - thanks! Sorry if misleading, I have no idea. I played a VMJ in a shop yesterday and the feel of this neck is a LOT nicer too, so did have my doubts
15. Hi folks! I'm not sure of the provenance of the bits. I bought it as a no name and finished it up. My guess is that the neck is a Squier vintage modified neck - there was the faintest mark left over from a previous logo and my best guess was that it was a Squier. The body I have no idea. It's deffo ash in my mind, the weight and grain pattern pretty much confirm this - there are no markings in the neck pocket to hint at model numbers or maker. It's most deffo not a fender but I tell you it can hang with the big boys, no mistakes!
16. Sounded ghastly. The playing was good though!
17. This is a belting bass! Heavy ash body, lovely bound and block inlayed neck, nicely done headstock transfer (with 'authentic', ahem, lacquer cracking), NOW WITH SEYMOUR DUNCAN pickups, shielded cavity and brass saddles. Bright and ballsy but plenty of guts too - a fantastic playing, sounding and looking bass! £275 collected from Halifax
