  1. As per forum rules, it needs a price! I might be interested too!
  2. Right, it's in the way and I need the cash so final price drop - come on folks, insanely good!
  3. Well, mine's on its way back to Soundslive tomorrow. They've been great so far
  4. Cheers - I've already completed the RMA online, so fingers crossed it can go tomorrow. One thing that has really puzzled me is the lack of headroom - I wonder if perhaps my unit has never been completely right. I always have to have the pad switch in and I have a passive jazz with the gain at 12 o'clock. Any more and the clip light illuminates and I can hear a level of distortion coming in. For 500w, it just doesn't seem to have much 'go' in it.
  5. Mine had the gain at about 1/2 way with the pad in and no compression. All eq flat bar the treble at 3 o clock. To bring the cutting out under control, I lowered the bass and disengaged the bass button and brought the output volume down from 1 o clock to 12 o clock. Not impressed, the resultant volume was nowhere near what I needed and we all had to turn down as a result, leaving the whole sound feeling very flat.
  6. Thanks - I'd read those too but figured that they can't all be bad! Further bad luck on my part or genuine design issues?
  7. Not really having much luck recently. After killing my SWR Workingman, I thought I'd do things properly so splashed out on one of the seriously neat looking Ampeg PF-500 heads. But 2/3rds into last nights set, the bloody thing starts cutting out on me! Wasn't overdriving it, wasn't overly stressing it, but with low notes or harder than soft plucking, it would cut out for about a second. So, back to Soundslive it goes - thankfully they are a company who have done right by me in the past, so shouldn't have any trouble. I'm going back to old School heavy-as-they-come Trace Elliot I think.
  8. Aye, they are belting value for money anyway but with an upgraded bridge and honkin' pickup it makes it an uber-bargain! Cheers matey, James
  9. Or very near offer for this weekend only!
  10. I'd say it's P-like at the dusty end, but slims down nicely towards the nut - it's very much a middle ground between the two. Very comfy!
  11. Edited - no longer for sale
  12. So is it £475 AFTER discount, or before?
  13. I'd have that 2x15 but the last one on here sold for a fair chunk less AND I'm the other end of the country to you
  14. Most odd. I've noticed that I always need just a touch less volume for the second set! I'd have thought, given my ears get a pasting during the first, that I'd be needing to turn up? But always when we start the second set, I notch myself down a touch and that's where it stays for the rest of it...weird!
