Let your ears tell you what's going on. All of this stuff is important in terms of getting a speaker to behave how it should, but actually that still may not yield the sound you want. If you can't hear any distortion or bottoming out then it's my uneducated opinion that the speakers will be just fine, there's a chance that their expected lifespan could be reduced, in theory - but again if your ears say it's okay, it's okay!

Hi folks. I love my SWR Workingman's 15, but it's a bit heavy so am contemplating a replacement driver, perhaps a deltalite or kappalite? Anyway, it needs to be 8 ohms and i'd like to be as efficient as possible. The SWR has quite a decent sized cabinet, the external dimensions being: 20.75"W x 27.625"H x 16.25"D Is this a good idea? Bad idea? Nothing wrong with the fitted speaker, but always looking for more volume and a little less weight! Thanks in advance, James
