5. Hi all, I have a Trace Elliot GP12 SMX 2x10" Combo, actual model name 112HSMX for sale. Good condition and comes with 2 months shop warranty with Gig Gear of Harlow, and the footswitch. Feel free to tell me if I'm wide of the mark on price here, but price drop to £280 - bargain, surely! Cheers, James
6. ...and I've just mailed to request mine is canceled. I want to like it, I mean it's a mag dedicated to what I love, but I just think it's largely irrelevant to my tastes and as a result very, very dull.
7. Nope, no way near if you have even a moderately loud drummer. I've tried it and it didn't work. It's a nice looking practise amp, in my opinion.
8. Wouldn't it be awful if people kept on hitting buy it now on these stupid auctions? Gosh that would be awful.
9.
Hiya mate I'd love that, and I'm up in Berkhamsted later this week as well so could collect. Trying to think of what bass stuff I could offer in trade. Don't suppose you'd need a lovely mid 80's Precision neck plus a few quid? Let me think further re anything alse I have and I'll come back to you C
Hi matey, Sorry, not really after a neck right now! Cheers James
10. Thanks Shockwave, but not looking to add cash so guitar still for sale! Cheers, James
11. Hi mate, Basses or amps really....I don't need anything in particular, but you're welcome to tempt me with something! Cheers, James
12.
Hi , i have a trace elliot gp7sm ah300 head that destroys amp fuses very regularly. They never blow when the amp is switched on and working but rather when powering up or down (while the mute switch is off ) its hard for me to say if its on power up or power down or both. I have tried various fuses in the plug and it doesnt seem to make any difference. Just to clarify the amp fuses are 3.15 amp 250 volt glass fuses, the ones im using are fast blow. Sometimes it may go a week or more before blowing a fuse, at other times two may blow consecutively. Also the mute switch is somewhat crackely when pressed although i dont know if this has any relation to the fuses blowing. Any suggestions on what might be causing this and what could be done about it?
You should be using Slo-blo ('T' rated fuses) - T means time-delay. There are massive current surges when powering on amps, and Fast fuses will just pop.
13. Really riles me, stuff like this. It shouldn't, but it does.
14. It's one of those generic Chinese jobbies, Rockers in Denmark Street used to have a boatload of them badged as 'Rockers' but they turn up all over the place. Actually pretty good VFM when set up, but you're not going to be able to retire on the proceeds! Probably valued at about £100-125? Cheers, James
15. The trouble is the 'fashion' for lightweight gear, which lets face it your Peavey is not! I would expect you would get about £250 for the pair - sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings!
