1. Just trying to help, but do NOT send an amp with Parcelforce. Expensive, unreliable and highly likely to damage it in transit. www.interparcel.com and use Interparcel Economy (UPS). Cheaper, safer and you don't even need to leave the house.
2. Hmmm, smells fishier than the fish counter at Asda! Yup, dodgy as heck I think - one of those efforts where nothing looks quite right.

A lovely bloke, who will be sadly missed.
4. I agree AND disagree! The trouble is that it's different, not better or worse in tone, just different. There are a lot of tonal options on them so I suspect you'll be able to coax a number of great tones out of it. Depending on the model of MAG you have, then in theory the TE should also be more reliable, as it's older if it was likely to go wrong it will have done by now! I can't see you being unhappy with it, but like I say it IS more of a case of it being different, not necessarily better or worse! Cheers, James
5.
would have the cabs off you if you were a bit closer to sheffield! do you still have the crossvers etc?
Hi mate, I'm afraid I don't - I binned them as I assumed I would never want to put them back....doh! Cheers, James
6. Well as with anything it relies on you having a good cab, that said I don't think there'd be much in it volume-wise. People say that TE are 'loud for their rating' but I've not found this to be especially the case and know the Mag 300 well. There's little in it, but the TE does have a very specific tone to my ears, a lot more defined than the Mag 300 but not necessary better/worse!
7. Amp head I take it? If it's 100% working then £150 is a fair price and you'd get that back if you decided to ebay it if you didn't like it.
8. There's no better colour....!
9. Hi mate, PM me with some pics and details of cash adjustment and we can discuss further if you're interested? It does have the standard Baja switching, yup, including the hidden switch in the Volume pot - awesome! Cheers, James
10. Oddly I have lost the ability to edit my original post, but here's pics of the Peavey out of the rack case!
11. Hmmm, yep - roll down the input on your bass a touch and then increase the master volume - does it still distort?
12. ...Springsteen, not Forsyth! Hi all, A few unexpected bills have left me thinking I could really do with realising a bit of cash. Looking around the house, it's sell this or the cat and to be honest the cat wouldn't fetch that much! It's a Baja telecaster in Blonde (the best colour!) and comes with a scrappy but functional Fender gig bag! Would look to part ex for your Fender / Squier Telecaster or Strat plus some cash my way, or an outright sale at £375 collected (delivery is possible at your cost and risk). Just going to take some pictures... Cheers, James
13. Hmmm, I'd have thought it HAS to be the head. That said, the rating on the cab is only a thermal rating, it's entirely possible you could be pushing the speaker cones past their rated Xmax and causing the distortion that way. Do you know what speakers are fitted?
14. Bill just in for my car: £225 - so, for the duration of this weekend only, the Peavey Tour 450 is down to £225 (plus delivery - a tenner for a basic service at your cost) Cheers, James
15. Info on the speakers: http://www.faneinternational.com/prod_details.aspx?pid=197
16. Why on earth would you chose, given three shots to have a closeup of the back of a headstock? This isn't me saying it's dodgy, just puzzled on the photo choice! Looks luverly by the way!
17. And here's yer pictures! Amplifier pictured in rack case with rack tuner: Speaker 1 (plastic corners): Speaker 2 (metal corners):
18. Hi all, I have for sale: 2 x Peavey Eurosys 3 15" Cabs loaded with Fane Sovereign 15" 600-LF speakers - I have customised these cabs to be bass guitar cabs but disconnecting the tweeter, removing the crossover and adding good sturdy rubber feet to both the side and bottom. I then re-soldered all connections. I am SO impressed with these cabs, they sound fantastic, largely down to the very efficient Fane speakers with LOTS of XMax so they really really push a massive amount of air. Rated at 600w. Both cabs are in the same condition however I have replaced the corners on one for metal versions. Dimensions are: 64cm high x 36.5cm deep x 45cm wide. Priced at £60 each or £100 for them both! I'd really rather not post this lot, however if you want me to at your risk and cost I can but could take a while as it'll be a royal pain finding boxes etc. - I will consider a meetup for petrol costs so contact me to see what can be achieved! Cheers, James
