Liking it so far, but wonder what the bass player did to offend the sound guy....listening on a top notch system and there's next to no bass!

I too have received goods totally inadequately packaged from SickPuppy. **** Update to feedback **** Sean and I have agreed a partial refund which squares the deal in my mind. To be honest, it was a little naive at best to pack it so poorly, but it's a harsh lesson learnt and I am very grateful for the fact that despite this, Seans communication throughout the deal was very good. Case closed and I would still recommend dealing with Sean, I can assume that his future packaging will be bombproof and that he will take recommendations on alternative courier companies to use.
You know that amps arn't really responsible for how loud the end result is, and that it's really more down to how sensitive your speakers are yeah? Just sayin'.
Valid point, but with all things equal those are a 'quiet' amp, given their rated wattage.

Yup, they are pretty arse. You CAN give it a kick up the backside a bit with a boost pedal going in the front, and extract a bit more output from the EQ, but it's largely a very dissapointingly weak amp.
Ah James... Jazz did need refretting from the day one I got it from you. I gather this is what you meant by doing "work" to it. It was the comfiest jazz neck I have ever played. My warmoths are like baseball bats next to it.
I know mate, amazing neck - so well worth the investment in a refret which I'm happy to do, I'm lucky to have an excellent luthier nearby - I know a lot hate doing work on maple necks! -

Hi matey, I agree, I really think the job done on it makes it look terrific - I know I'll catch some stick from the guitarists in my band for getting rid as they love how it looks! It plays very well - as part of the fretwork was a complete stone and setup the action is decent and the bass plays very well indeed. As for the sound, well it sounds like a P really - clanky and throaty when attacking it and warmer and rounder when playing lightly - one thing that always strikes me when playing any P is that you get out what you put in, very responsive to changes in style. Trades? Unlikely, as I could really do with the cash but Jazzes are more my thing so you may be able to tempt me, but the objective is to clear some debts where possible! Cheers, James -
Judging from the pictures, does this have a 7.5" vintage radius neck?
Is there an easy way for me to measure? If so, I can do and report back! It's certainly not as curvy as my jazz, but few basses I've played have been! Cheers, James -
What a guy! Great transaction and top fella. Thanks rooooooooon!!

Cheers mate, I know what you mean - as anyone who knows me, knows I go through huge bouts of GAS and then get 'the guilt' almost immediately after. It's very rare that gear lasts any time at all with me, the exception (sort of) being the Jazz that I got back from BassKS recently, having sold it once already and regretted it almost immediately, I know I'll keep it now! Nice to know Terry has another BC customer - he's a good bloke! When you see him, tell him James from the Natalies was singing his praises online would ya, might get me a few schekles knocked off the re-fret I'll be putting his way soon! Cheers, James
