Hi all, Bought these from a friend but stupidly gave him the wrong gauge - doh! These are 40-95 Nickel Strings with Red wraps, branded Peavey Fly. NOTE - I am not 100% certain these would suit certain through body stringing basses. On my jazz (top load) there is about 4 inches of excess wrap which I cut off before installing the string and the wrap finishes about 1/2" before the nut on the E. Looking for £25 for a box of Seven - Seven already potentially sold. Postage will be on top as collectively they are quite heavy. £5.49 for the Six or £8.49 for the 14 - I'm not making any money on the postage, that's what it would cost! Cheers, James EDIT - Can't count, half of 14 is Seven, isn't it? Gah....

Hi all, This is for sale from a close friend of mine, but I have the guitar so can answer any questions etc. It's a beautiful Daphne Blue (I think? Fender nerds feel free to correct me) and looks the part, literally dripping with mojo! It has been played and there are the usual scars as you would expect from a gigged guitar, but as I think the photos show it is very presentable. The guitar currently has 9's on it, which frankly I find a bit weedy so it'd be better with 10's and a setup to suit. All the switchgear works as it should - the only thing to point out is that the trem arm is none-original (was sent from Fender Europe!) and doesn't fit very well...not sure exactly why! Looking for £350 - delivery on top or you are WELCOME to collect from Stevenage. Cheers, James

...especially, you would think, with a 12" speaker on board? I've never much liked the tweeter sound, but in my experience they are sometimes useful in just helping you cut through enough to hear yourself. Can't comment on the Markbass stuff though, as I've never owned one!

Hello all, Did a Denmark Street run today, despite it being a Bank Holiday so some stuff was shut (and some, forever!) and felt it my worth popping my head into the Bass Cellar as I was looking for THREE things, cab, strings and gig bag. Cash waiting, as they say. So, my wife and I (who is the reason I decided to walk rather than lay into them there and then) had a stroll about, looked at quite a few nice basses and decided to ask about a couple of things. The sales dood, who could barely be bothered to look up from his computer was simultaneously obnoxious, blunt and unhelpful, quite a trio. So, the chance to have a sale that would have run into the hundreds was lost and potentially on some lines for them which would have had good margin. What the hell is their problem? Perhaps it's symptomatic of the doubt that the future of the whole chain is under but treating customers with disdain isn't going to help manners. Quite frankly, if that is their attitude then they deserve to go bust and those staff deserve to lose their jobs. In my job (customer facing) I would not be allowed to give such poor service and would be out on my ear, simple as that. Wunjo, on the other hand were their usual friendly, helpful selves and although it didn't result in a sale for them, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others for the future. Cheers, James

I had some GFS pickups in my P and it growled like no other. If you can wait for them to make the journey over the pond, they are a total bargain! -

Nice! Sounds like a score! I had one for a while, it was actually a plywood body but it sounded fantastic regardless and the neck was peachy! Enjoy - and enjoy the trip to California! -
Hey Guys, Bought it of dontcarebear back in December (the 14th I trust). A great bass, WIth ebony fretboard, Flame Maple top body, Alder body, Wenge neck(?). Pickups are Wizard classic (64s), 201 Gotoh bridge and Schaller tuners. The piccies of it on BC show the bass with a preamp and Barts. This was changed before I bought it and it is now passive with Wizards. I wish DontCareBEar could help me out here for more details. This is a very good bass with an awesome action, tight pocket, and quality hardware. Have recorded a few songs with it and sounded fabulous. 400 quid gets it which is a bit less than I paid for it. Why am I selling? I have accrued three jazzes in the last five months and am in need of a five string. I have isolated which one I need to buy and am sadly shifting the one which will make me most of the money quickly. Collection from Sheffield or London (weekends). If anyone buys it in the next couple of days, I will give them a Boss BF-3 Flanger as a sweetener. Hows that??? Thanks y'all. Oh yeah. Please find the warmoth bass piccies on the porn section put up by our dontcarebear. Thanks Fatos
Sure you don't wanna sell me back my Jazz? Cheers, James

Hi all, Please see this thread for the original for sale post from oldslapper, who I bought this bass from a while ago. However I have now found something I rather fancy and can't justify keeping this if I get it! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80917 Pics are down beloooow, scroll down! Since owning it, I have: 1). Had it set up - Action is lovely and low with no buzz 2). Had it shielded completely - VERY quiet indeed 3). Had the jack socket replaced 4). Bought a black scratchplate for it (not fitted) but it requires minor adjustment. Will include it, but white one is back on there. I'd like what I paid for it, £250. Collection from Stevenage or St Albans please! Will consider postage, but please contact me first to explore our options! Cheers, James

I've never purchased, but emailed a few times and he's been very quick to respond, knowledgeable and helpful.
