    Just need something in case my amp goes bump at a gig - i'd be going DI straight to PA in that case, so some tonal shaping would be good, but doesn't need to be hugely comprehensive! Cheers, James

    Oh and would take an old Peavey or Laney head plus lots of wonga as a trade too - i'll still need a backup!

    'Sanding' may be too much for it. I've found in the past that a scourer pad (those double ones with a sponge on one side) for doing the dishes works very well. It's abrasive enough to 'flatten' the gloss, but not too abrasive that means you end up making a total mess.

    Hi all, Going to plump for a Bass Terror, I can stand this agony no longer! So I need to shift my current Main Head which is a GK Backline 600 (300w) Head. Price is NOT negotiable though, as I'll keep it for a backup otherwise. It's in nice condition, couple of scuffs as you'd expect from a gigged head, but it looks well and has about 6 months warranty on it and comes boxed! EDIT: Bought in September so LOADS of warranty left on it! Postage will be charged at cost on top, approx £15 or you're welcome to collect from the Chav capital of Hertfordshire.     I've heard a couple of these and they sounded, well, fine. Not blow-you-away or jaw-hits-floor, but fine. Sort of like a Bass Collection really. It's a good solid sound, but I'd be surprised if anyone lost sleep dreaming about it. For the money, it's a good solid choice. Never played one, but I imagine like most of these things, the key is to budget for a good setup. Cheers, James

    I think I'd stick with it, invest only the bare minimum and actively look for something else. Be up front about it, too, citing the reasons it's not working for you.

    New, I think Eden Nemesis cabs are VERY good, light (for their size) and capable of taking fair wattages. You'd get more for your money going used, in which case there's all sorts available. Budget?

    I wish... The frustrating thing is that they should only be allowed to be installed, like speed cameras (supposedly) where there is a proven issue with sound disruption. I know Knebworth House well, as crez mentions and it's ridiculous - just because there are supposedly residents. Why hire out a venue with the intention of being able to offer live music, and have one of these things. As such, like crez, it is in our contract that we don't play anywhere with these things any more.

    Likewise, we don't touch venues with those any more - the last time we did, the DJ we were sharing the stage with lost a mixer as it just cuts the power. Bloody useless.

    Fairly certain that my Superfly (owned for all of 1 day) had an Internal fan by that grille. Could be wrong!

    Still playing Devil's Advocaat here, but because it's two weeks after delivery? If you sold a bass and didn't hear anything until now, wouldn't YOU be a little peeved that this has taken so long to surface?

    Yep, there's a Little Giant chassis lurking in there when you take it out of the ridiculous amount of metal it sits in.
