1. Ended the auction for someone on here to buy, but now back up for sale! Guess that's karma... £60 people, that's a whole heap o' wallop for the cash! Cheers, James
2. Jazz sold pending the usual! Sorry Beer, someone just pipped you to it! Cheers, James
3. BASS ONE: I have the following for sale - a Cort GB44 (active) - Collection Welcome: This is a STUNNING bass with massive sustain and lots of power, it has a Stingray-like tone and really is seriously impressive! Sensible offers may well be laughed at, or taken seriously. YOU decide! UPDATE: Now on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CORT-ELECTRIC-BASS-G...id=p3286.c0.m14 Cheers, James
4. Tell me more about the power amp? We are looking at replacing ours...
5. Not good, black paintwork over the contours = plywood.
6. Would it be of interest if I were to bring down a drumkit? I'd have to rent it as I've just sold mine....but if I came, would the addition of being able to jam with drums be welcome, or detract from the conversation-friendly volume level?
7. Alex James (Blur) - Best Bass Line = Beetlebum. What the hell?
8. I'd say those were 'Mighty Mite' which in itself doesn't mean a great deal as it's somewhat of a generic name. What about a shot of the underneath of the pickups as this might give further clues?
9. Now that really irritates me, it's an advert - why do people not read these things back to themselves? Also, you don't have to be David Bailey to realize that when taking photos of a guitar, it might be wise to use portrait orientation. Gah.
10. Matches. Don't go the superglue route - pack a match or two in there and all sorted
11. Glad the bass arrived there ok - god bless UPS and their fine men in brown!
12. Depends on what you are used to. They have quite a fair amount of power for their 'meagre' 90 watts, they actually put out a lot of noise. If you're a player who puts a good sound into the amp (i.e. have a good bass, technique and perhaps a decent preamp) - you'll get a good sound from it without doubt. Cheers, James
13. I really shouldn't, but I am interested in this - however one thing worries me a touch about the Brass nut, as from the pics it looks like there are barely any slots in it and the strings are sort of sitting on top. Is this the case? Thanks! James
14. NOW ON EBAY! Will end auction early if there are no bids.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=330348241237
15. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...#ht_3265wt_1167 Discount available to BC'ers Cheers, James
16. Err....yes....erm, no. Actually, I do need to take some, but it's now pretty much dark and they won't really come out. Will take some tomorrow when I'm back from work, but for reference, it's this one! http://www.peavey.com/products/browse.cfm/...)%208%20ohm.cfm Cheers! James
17. Due to a minor issue with me not being able to fit this into my gear storage area, I have to sell this. I am looking for a bargainous £50 Castors will be removed at current price. Collection only, but will meet up for diesel costs around Herts/London/M25 area Cheers, James
18. Yep at least it's going to a good home with a fellow Basschatter! Now I just have to get the beggar posted!
