I watched most of it, missed the start, but really enjoyed it. A fitting tribute to Taylor.

Pub gig last night where we had played earlier this year. Only a small audience but were appreciative so not a bad night overall.

Played a set at The Woburn Sands Festival Saturday evening. First time there. A good crowd and quite a few dancers during our set.

Played to a very busy local beer festival yesterday.

New venue for us last night and I understand first band in the pub since new landlady a few months ago. Was a good crowd, mainly down to our vocalist being local and she had invited most of them. Landlady was very happy so should hopefully be getting a re-booking soon.

We had the same issues on Saturday around the football although we were advised beforehand that it would be a late start. Started about 10.30pm and played through to just after midnight in the end. Was actually still a good crowd in the club and were up for a good time.

Our second post Covid lockdown gig last night. Full pub and lively bunch, had a good night all round.

Be aware if playing a pub gig there will always be a group of punters stood blocking the doorway of the almost empty pub when you are trying to load up.

First full gig last night since lockdown. We had to cancel one in March due to a band member getting Covid. Went really well, we are already booked to return in September but landlord tried to fit us in for another but we didn't have any mutually acceptable dates unfortunately.

Shocked and saddened when I heard the news earlier. RIP Taylor.

I enjoyed it and look forward to the next episode.

Really enjoyed the Alan Hull documentary. Saw Lindisfarne in the late 70s/early 80s and Rod Clements more recently when a friend of mine was the support act.

I have always plugged direct into the amp. Our old guitarist, now retired, a geat player, had numerous pedals of various sorts. He had countless problems with connections between them though. I remember one gig where all worked well during the first set but he couldn't get any working during the second set so plugged straight into his amp. I didn't like to tell him it didn't sound any different to me!

I had a power supply go on an Ashdown combo a few years ago now. It was a couple of weeks or so out of warranty so a local repair man checked it out for me. I contacted Ashdown and they sent me a foc psu no quibble. The didn't want the dead psu back either. Excellent service in my book.

I have a USA and a Mexican Fender Jazz bass. I have rarely played the Mex one over the last few years. I have noticed recently though the different response between the two when adjusting the vol pots. The USA version affects the volume when either pot is only slightly turned up; on the Mex bass I have to turn them until they are on almost full. Can anyone advise if this is likely to be pots or pick-up problems. Thanks.

I had an email exchange with them a couple of months back about a bass they were advertising. I didn't buy it in the end but was very impressed with their responses to me. Emailed me back at 11pm! Would certainly contact them again if I see something suitable.

I've got both a MIM and USA Jazz bass. While both necks are the same width, the MIM one has a good bit slimmer profile and not as chunky as the USA one.
