1. You need to make sure the blend control has the same values as your existing Vol controls. Eg, if the existing vols are 250K, you need a 250K blend. If the values are not marked on the Vol pots, I would go with the push/pull solution, but again the value needs to be correct..
2. "V" eekend Bump
3. I use one of the Limiters. I know one of the companies that import them and they assure me they are made in the same factory as Boss pedals. You have to draw your own conclusion from that statement.
4. Up to the top Bump.
5.
Hi, I've got a nice 5 stringer...if you are up for a trade. pics and spec here.... http://www.mygear.com/items/view/14465 it's a lovely bass...but I can't get the tone I'm after....I want the 'ultra burp' tone of a good 'jazz' based instrument I am based in berkshire,
Hi, That's a nice Bass, but I am not really looking for a straight trade. With an ACG on it's way, I need to make some room. I would consider a cheaper Bass + Cash. Thanks for the Offer.
6. Mid-Week Bump
7. Nice One Peter. Looks like it was a great event.
8.
That's a point, how you know I'm with After Hours Bass Bunny? Have we met?
Saw the posting on NWB
9. If you know the After Hours Blues Band, you do.....
10.
I just need to find a decent back up bass so I can leave it with Jon for a while and we happy.
Al, You can borrow my Sandberg 5 if you want. It ain't doing much at the moment.
11.
You've mailed the wrong bloke, I bought this from nugget & am currently selling it, drop me aline & chat, cheers. Chris.
That explains a lot. I didn't think there could be 2 identical LAG 5's For Sale. Maybe this should have "sold" in the post...
12.
I would only recommend getting a custom bass built if you really really really know what you want, which certainly isn't the case for most judging by the posts I see on here! Alex
+1 To That. Took me about 18 months after deciding to have an ACG built to be really confident in what I wanted. A lot of Basses came and went in that time, but it gave me all the elements I needed to spec out a custom job, (and then still took almost a day picking the wood. Well Alan does have a lot of wood to choose from...)
13. Week-end Bump and final price drop.
14. This used to be mine and is a stunning Bass. Has a narrow string spacing making it a dream to play. Good Luck with the sale.
15.
Where are you based?
You are based where?
16.
There's an organisation called BAPAM (www.bapam.org.uk) that specialises in treating musicians/performers, they were a great help to me when I had problems with my shoulder. As for technique, I'd definitely recommend going an seeing an experienced teacher to make sure you're doing the right things - maybe have a look in the teaching section of the forum and see if there's anyone in your area that's recommended. Best of luck with it, I know how frustrating it can be when all you want to do is practice and your body refuses to cooperate!
+1. If you have CTS then you need to get someone to look at your technique. Here's an article from Guitar magazine about CTS and a simple "hint". You may just need some B vitamin. 19. When you play a shed load of numbers in Efl, it is a distinct advantage.
20. +1 for Mark Bass. Been using an LMII for a couple of years now. Great Amp. Might be worth looking at the new Carvin BX500. Great review in BGM, (except for the comment on the control knobs), but get the rack kit and put it in a rack bag and roberts your whatsit.. They are shipping to UK with price including tax as i understand it and priced at £360.00 looks like a possible winner. Goes down to 2 Ohms as well. They have service arrangements in UK, so looks good. http://www.carvinworld.com/bassguitaruk
21. Hi Chris, Although I am a Manc, we have a place in Deal just down the road from you. I am also a converted guitarist who saw the light a few years back and moved to the Dark Side. Also i am really into The Meters, EWF, Parliament, Funkadelic and Tower of Power. Will give you a shout when we are down there next...
