1. Bugger, we have just picked up a gig for Saturday, (and unfortunately it's a cracker). Might still make Sunday at a stretch.

Absolutely Bomb Proof.
 3. Hi Pete, Here you go. http://www.laboitenoiredumusicien.com/foru...splay.php?f=140 All in French though. There is a UK one, but it has just been set up and there is little activity. http://lagfan.proboards.com/index.cgi
 4.
I owned a Lag bass in the early 90s which would be a little before this one I think, though still in the same timeframe when they were hand made in France. The quality was exceptional (as were the other few Lags I played around that time) and of the many, many basses that have been and gone for over the years, the Lag is one of only a couple I would have back in a heartbeat if I could find it again. Someone should really go and try this bass 'cause if you can get on with the spacing on this bass, which is a little different, at the price it's going to give you a serious quality instrument for a very reasonable price.
Hi Pete, According to the LAG forum, this one dates from around 1986 and is definately a hand made French one. They made a matching guitar as well. It is an exceptional quality instrument and in great nick. I actually find the string spacing makes it very easy to play. I think it could be changed, but if you look at Stanley Clarke's Alembic, he uses a pretty narrow spacing as well. I am just looking to get back what the Bass owes me. I reckon it probably is worth more.
 5. Hi Ben, Could you measure the Width and Depth of the 15 please. Cheers, Stuart
 6. Truly outstanding and quite rare LAG Collection 5 String. Flame Maple Top finished in Red-Burst. Active EMG's. Gold Schaller Hardware. I understand it was made around 1986 and is definately one of the French ones, (there were some made in Japan apparently). There is the odd "ding" and very slight Buckle Rash, (only visible from certain angles). Some of the Gold has rubbed off the Vol/Tone controls, but generally it is in fabulous condition. String spacing at the bridge is slightly narrower than the norm at 15/16mm, but it plays like a dream. Superb slim neck combined with the narrow spacing make it really easy to get around. Just had a set up, thorough clean and polish and brand new set of D'Addario Nickels fitted. looking for £295 or near offer. Includes slightly battered ABS Case. 7.
looks like a Lag to me?
It is indeed. A LAG collection 5.
 8. Just bought A Sandberg Basic in Matt Blueburst and it is a stonking bass IMHO. It's light, great neck profile and a really low action. The bridge is adjustable for string width and the Delano MM pick-up does just that, has that MusicMan "zing". Great range of tones from the 3 band Eq. I intend to coil-tap the pick-up and it will then be competing with my G&L for my attention. I notice Sandberg now have their "own badged" pick-ups and this may have affected the overall sound. Don't know if they are still made by Delano or not. I guess it proves the old adage, there are good and bad in all makes and models. It's the same with Spector's, those that love them, love them. I could not get on with mine and it has now "left the building".
 9.
Promised my missus I wouldn't buy any new basses for 3 months though.
It's not NEW, so that lets you off the hook...
 10.
I'm really getting into narrow spacing at the moment!
If you are into narrow string spacing, and you manage to sell the Esh, how does this grab you? It's 15-16mm at the bridge and plays like a dream.

 19. It's a pleasure Justin and nice to meet up with you on Saturday. Hope the speakers are OK. Cheers, Stuart
 20. That is a beautiful looking Bass. If you want my "10 penneth", stick an ACG pre-amp in it. Can't see what the pick-up is, but if you want to change it, speak to Andy at Wizard pick-ups. If they don't produce something that size, send the pick-up to them and they will re-wind it to your spec. OR sell me the Bass and i'll do it.
 21. What about a Cash Sale?
 22. Steve go for Audacity and if you need a hand i am just down the road....
