  1. They make instruments for G&L, Lakland, Fender, Squier, Yamaha etc., in fact if a guitar has Made In Indonesia stamped on it, it is likely to have come out if the Cort factory. Had a GB74 for a while. Great bass.
  2. I've had 2. They are fantastic basses.
  3. Anyone got a Squire Dimension 5 they could weigh for me please. Ta
  4. Great review. I was considering one if these, got sidetracked and now they're all gone. Similar idea to original Schroeder's, which I loved. Ah well, snooze and you lose.
  5. I've got Glockenklang pre-amps in all my Bass Collections so have the passive option and they have made a massive difference. Only needed to use it once but it was in a situation where changing the battery would have been a mare to do.
  6. These 2 are Vinyl Wraps that a pal of mine did.
  7. Beautiful job. IMHO the one thing missing from the stock pre-amp is an active/passive switch, particularly as you have to remove the cavity cover to change batteries.
  8. Superb album and band. Have all the Roger Hodgson era albums on vinyl and they do get a regular play. Their 97 concert in Paris comes up regularly on Sky Arts, ( or search catch up or YouTube ), and is well worth a watch.
  9. I spotted that and thought it was a bit of a bargain. Worth it just for the drivers.
  10. Might be better in the repairs section.
  11. Ashdowns customer service is legendary. Their amps are guaranteed for 5yrs and they can repair virtually anything they have made. They have an account on here as well.
  12. Checkout Ashdowns website for some special builds or speak to Mark. During the lockdown period Mark has been having a "tidy up" and found tons of gear he didn't realise he had so turning the components into some awesome amps.
  13. The tone pump is an active tone circuit, ( boost only IIRC ), and the treble/bass pots will be matched to that circuit. You are going completely passive with 2 x treble bleed pots so they need a value that will do just that. The TP jnr pots may well be OK, but the most popular for what you want to do is 250k.
  14. The tone pots will presumably be part of the tone pump circuitry so I would ignore them and just use 250k ones.
  15. I think I've got a VVTT circuit on my pc somewhere. I'll have a check later. It is pretty much s Les Paul circuit without switch but the pots might be different values as the LP has himbuckers.
  16. It's in this thread. Reply No 654. I would copy the details but not sure the pictures are in the same order.
  17. It wasn't a PM, pretty sure I also posted in the "Obscure Musical Backwaters" thread that is all about SGC Nanyo and it was answered there. Check it out and if not I made a hard copy that is tucked away with the pre-amp and I'll dig it out.
  18. It's certainly incredibly loud. I couldn't believe it the first time I tried mine.
  19. Looks remarkably like a Peavey MiniMax.
  20. Would getting one of these solve the problem? https://cpc.farnell.com/neutrik/na4ljx/adaptor-speakon-to-1-4-jack/dp/AV15766?mckv=skyWn7fgU_dm|pcrid|224689766569|kword||match||plid||slid||product|AV15766|pgrid|49729733449|ptaid|pla-512057788247|&CMP=KNC-GUK-CPC-SHOPPING&gclid=CjwKCAjwwMn1BRAUEiwAZ_jnEngT95Awl89wnTnKxNna06y85-gbk2nWNEFHcNG3Wqa9GNV_ps3AMhoCdycQAvD_BwE
  21. It's essential. If I were in your position as soon as we are out of house arrest I'd book a day at Bass Direct. Mark is great with advice and you won't find a bigger range of basses from all manufacturers anywhere else.
  22. I've hidden scratches on speaker cabinets with a car product for black trim. Works a treat. The one I used was called Back to Black and contained a black pigment that disguised the scratches.
  23. A picture would be good or model number if the pickups.
  24. So plan B is not needed. I was sorting out the refund with Mark when an email appeared from Lee. He apologised for the overselling issue but had found an almost new one I can have. Decisions, decisions.😉😉 Hopefully with me next week.
