1. If you're thinking of selling it, give me a shout.
2.
Hi people I've just joined Bass Chat so hello! I've decided to sell my Ampeg SVT CL the main reason is because I have an original Matamp Bass 200 and cant afford to have two high end bass amps and as I'm never going to sell the Matamp it looks like my Ampeg is on the chopping block. So about the amp. The amp has been well looked after with regular services from Panic Music who as you probably know are the UK Ampeg Distributors. Its a standard Black SVT CL. Its been gigged but all the covering is in good shape and still looks fantastic, its in totally sound condition. I'm looking for 800 pounds for it. I'm based in Brighon, and if you need references as obviously I'm new here I have had good transactions over at the D*A*M forum under the same screen name. The Matamp is not for sale and sorry for the not so good phone pic
Welcome to the forum! First of all, how old is it andddd how long ago were the valves last replaced, if ever? Would you consider swopping it for a 5 month old AD200b that's never left the house?, easily saleable!
3.
Good work.
Now fraff, how much for the '76
4. Sorry guys this has now been sold. Thanks
5. How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?
6. Bump for own pics, description and price revision.
7. Pics will be uploaded tonight, the pub was too tempting last night!
8.
What's the difference between the Supreme ones and the normal ones?
block inlays, matching headstock, pearlescent scratch plate
9. I've had a proper look at the bass and took some pictures. The paint apart from that stated below is perfect, no swirl marks or even little scratches. All standard Sandberg refinements. Sounds beautiful (have a look through the forum for reviews ect) Bad points (being ruthless) ... Pre amp battery compartment cover: The two bits where it clips in have snapped, still clips in but doesn't fully close. (Cheap fix which I'll do if it takes a while to sell) Two hairline cracks and a tiny shallow chip on the headstock. (as shown below) Little dink towards the very bottom of the neck. Specs here: http://www.sandberg-guitars.de/basscat-ove...es/caljmsupreme Please note this has the Delano pickups. Could do with a new set of strings and a set up (little bit rattly on the first three frets) Comes with Sandberg gigbag Thanks for looking. Will take £600 Thanks.
10. Thought I'd give you guys a heads up as this seems a bit of a steal ... 11. Mhmmm I've got a 3 month old AD200b that has never left the house, would you be willing to part with a bit of cash too?
12. I need to try some out, difficult considering you can't just walk into normal music shops an find these. Am I right in thinking there's a couple of shops in LDN where I'll vintage stuff?
13. Having a quick look at the prices of the 60's, I'll be saving a for a little bit too long
14. I'm thinking about starting to save for a nice vintage P bass. What are peoples opinions on what the better years from the 70's are?
15. Would you swop the cab for an epi t bird in perfect condition?
16. I'd of has this off you in a flash if the tax man hadn't of robbed me this month
17. I've had my JM4 for a couple of months now and up until now I had only played it through my AD200b + 410hlf. I've started keeping the head in my room so no one could mess around with it when I'm not there. So my house mate has gone out and bough a Marshall MB4210 for band pracs because he was using my setup. Obviously we had to compare, different combination's of gear ect. He uses an Epi Tbird, I'd go as far as saying the Marshall is worth the money for the price. The modern channel is god damn awful (imo) but the classic channel is good. It has one ECC83 pre amp valve that gives it a little bit of growl which is a nice tone for the price. (This is using the Tbird). So then I plug in the Sandberg ... S**t Son!! It sounded so damn nice (obviously not on par with my Orange). I didn't realise until now how much of a difference a decent bass makes to the tone. Plugging into the Orange there's already an amazing tone there, the bass just adds its own characteristics to the tone. Through a cheap amp you can really appreciate the quality and the tone just from the bass without aid of an expensive amp. Anyway, I will be quiet now!
18. Sold pending all the usual bumff
19. Hi, I've decided to sell my Sansamp after buying a valve amp, so I get the sound I like without the pedal. Perfect condition, not a nick on it, will provide pictures when my hangovers gone £100 posted to anywhere in the UK.
20. £2,085.20 just for the head Might be better of finding a used US CL for about £800 and sticking the same valves as the heritage in?
21. It would of been cool if the new cabs looked more like the classic series imo
22. Doh! I kind of wish it's a shuttle or lm2 right now, my cars broken and it looks like Im gonna have to take it on the train
23. Would I be better off taking it back to the shop?
