  1. Many thanks to Pat for our amp trade deal. Great guy to deal with 👍
  2. Power requirement is 115-230 volts.
  3. Apologies for replying to my own post but I meant to say I'm frequently in Leicester with work. So I am around the Midlands quite a bit.
  4. You don't need me to tell you this is a great amp but I current need something more portable. This price seems to be the going rate on here for an excellent condition EVO IV. In terms of trades I would probably be interested in one of the recent Markbass Little Mark amps (maybe even an Orange Terror Bass but a Markbass would probably go better with my cab).
  5. Funnily enough Bass Bros said this one came over from Belfast!
  6. Sorry IanA I didn't know anyone else knew this one was coming into Bass Bros! I'm also still from Leicester sort of - still down there for work a lot although I moved from Oadby to Ilkley (near Leeds) last year.
  7. Thanks for the detective work miles'tone it does look like several people have had the neck profile done on these RWs. For me it certainly makes it much more playable instrument than the typical P bass.
  8. I did mate. Added enough trees to make up the cost of the part which is only fair as Dave sent it for nothing!
  9. Could be miles'tone. It's an excellent job if that was what was done. If that BCer is around please drop me a PM I'd like to know the history of this bass.
  10. Just a note to flag up great service from Dave Green at Ashdown. The pre-amp valve had clearly gone (horrific noise) in my ABM EVO IV and Dave has sent me a free replacement. I've installed that and the amp now sounds fantastic again.
  11. I just picked up this bass from the excellent Bass Bros and am really pleased with it. It is just under 9lbs at 8lb 13oz which my back appreciates! An interesting feature is the neck which is 39mm - I've been searching for a P bass with a jazz neck and this fits the bill. Initially I thought it might be a bit chunky front to back but after a weekend playing it I find it very comfortable. It is actually slimmer than other precisions I've tried. Bass Bros are not sure if it came out of factory like this or if a luthier has done a job on it but either way it is ideal for me.
  12. Red 1993 Fender Precision Lyte Active bass guitar. Has the scars from being well gigged but neck is fantastic and all is working well. Would suit someone looking for a lightweight bass - it's around 3.4kg. Also possibility of a trade deal of some kind for a short scale bass for my daughter - preferably a Sterling Stingray.

  13. Bump for this amp. And a price reduction to £200 - although I'm not sure how to change that in the headline.
  14. Yeah they are a nice little amp. They do seem to have that Ampeg sound albeit in a small package. I'm no expert with Ampeg though and I know people do say that the sound comes from a massive heavyweight cab. I've often thought this one would be perfect for a bass and guitar set up playing small gigs.
  15. Amendment to the Ad. And many thanks to Karlfer for the heads up on this. The Fender website for dating Japan built guitars is a bit confusing (for me anyway). Serial no. T + 6 digits is listed as made 94-95 in one place (so not 1996 anyway!!) but later on the webpage it list T + 6 digits as built between 2007-10 when they returned to using ‘Made in Japan’ again. And in relation to this they specifically mention the Geddy Lee and Marcus Miller models. So this bass was made between 2007-2010.
  16. Ampeg Micro CL 100-Watt. Compact Solid State Bass Amp Stack (2X10 cab) Mint condition. Lightweight. Great for small coffee house type gigs perhaps or home practice amp.
  17. Mint condition Fender Jazz bass - Geddy Lee tribute model made in Japan in 1996. Not much to say about this bass guitar, everyone know how good they are. Neck is fantastic. Weighs 4.2kg. I swopped the white pick guard for a black one but kept it so that is included. Not really interested in any trades accept maybe a Fender P bass with a jazz neck.
  18. Hi Geek99 I’d forgotten about that - just changed my profile. and thanks for the tips, much appreciated 👍
  19. Again thanks for this 👍 I’ll see if I can find one in West Yorkshire.
  20. Thanks Geek99 👍 I’ve actually recently moved to Ilkley in Yorkshire although I am still down in Leicester for work once or twice a month this year.
  21. Greg many thanks for this! I just found this today and it is exactly what I was looking for - really helpful. I’m still a novice but my dream is to be competent enough one day to play at a blues jam 👍
  22. Hi Marc I have a Mustang bass with P&J pickups which i may be interested in trading. I will try to find a way of sending you some photos. Best Ian
