1. Hi. I've weighed the bass and it's just under 10. I made it about 9.7
 2. Yeah they did a few (but not many)without the paddle headstock,i had a pro2e like that. You also see some customs with pro bass written on headstock too. If memory serves ,the Pro2e's were actually more expensive than the Custom model when the Customs were first introduced. Pete
I agree. A black MkI. I've never seen a Pro without a paddle headstock. Every body Wang Chung tonight!
5. No nothing written in it.Would guess built between 1920's-1960's but is only a guess.Laminated i think.Top and back are curved, soz if not much help.More pics here if it helps
Is it a laminated bass, or solid timber? Are there any makers names inside, country of origin, or date?
11. Series 2 (has the funk groove between the neck and front pick up)Cherry red finish, lovely dark walnut facings on front of headstock,i think is an 85 model. Some damage to finish by jack socket where it looks like a previous owner had an accident with the jack plug in.Consequently it has a square chrome plate around jack socket. Also the wood pickup cover has worn thru on the bridge pick up by what looks like somebody digging in their thumbnail. Otherwise this is a lovely bass and it sounds and looks wicked!!! The Aluminium flightcase is a neat one (doesn't weigh a ton!) get in touch if interested will get some pics up soon Cheers Pete
 12. silver an black face model mint condition with box an manual £100 including postage will get a pic up soon
 13.
This was 'the one' for me.. Stolen from our studio in 1993 and I've missed it ever since! 1978 Wal Pro2e.. I still have one now but I miss this one like mad for some reason...
Ba****ds! Must of been awful . I also was a complete arsewipe when i sold my favourite fretless!!
 14. I thought it to be quiet myself,i have the noise reduction in,i never thought about them all being different before, would there be a difference in different examples do you think? Was quieter than the eden nav and possibly the ashdown rpm in my opinion and was one of the reasons i wanted to keep it.
How noisy is this unit.... I've tried 3 others of these and they have all been a bit too noisy when recording...
15.
this would be a nice catch for a collector!
Cheers Kiwi, would be a great addition to any rig /combo whatever, definitely wouldn't sell this if i didn't have to.
 16. Not everyday these come along for sale ,all working great, sweet sounding (good components )think they cost about £2k when they came out . Includes the lovely pedal board which all lights up too. Not sure what to ask for it as i not seen any for sale how does £360 sound?(pm me if you know better) Cab be rack mounted but doesn't have the rack ears currently. Is the model with the logo that lights up (as opposed to the badge)Apparently came from Pink Floyd's studio.(i think they had about 3 or 4 think the guy they had on bass used them too) Will get a pic up soon. Whoever buys this will not be sorry it's a great ,useful piece. Thanks Pete
 17. I'll answer for him as i had one,and yes you can to both.
Cool bit of kit. Quick question - is it possible to use it with headphones without a power amp attached, so just on its own? Is this also possible with the DI? I have skim read le manuel but I am at work so can't really dive in as much as I would like!!! Cheers ped
18. FWIW I've played Ron's Stingray 5 on a number of occasions and it's an excellent playing and sounding bass
Hi NJ, A natural Stingray would be fine, any short fall in the value I would of course like in money. Cheers Ron
