Can recommend ! Antoine bought a bass from me ,there was a mix-up with the shipping company which meant the bass was delayed by a week (!) but he remained patient and a gent throughout , many thanks Antoine

[/quote] the only passive ones produced were the pro series with scratchplate or a musicman type control plate . mk1's were all active (except for the odd custom order) Good choices you've got ,surely if you have enough for a Wal you could get a stingray and franklin p for same money I think maybe the players you mention would probably all sound pretty much like "themselves" whatever fretless bass they played ?

Traded a bass with Paul a little while back ,no problems ,all good thanks Paul!!

Think the cost is about or simlar to refret ,usually around £70-100 Most luthiers fit maple but i know some such as Wal prefer pear wood The other option is l.e.d.'s (fret fx are cheaper though!) I've got a nice unlined f'less here Bobby and not far from you ,you're welcome to come and try it out if it helps at all..
