1. BLARGHHH BUY STUFF PLOX Now interested in part-exs with Ampeg/Orange 410s and Rickenbacker 4001s.
2. What determines where it goes is whether it's a rackmount compressor designed to operate off of line level, or whether it's a compressor pedal designed for guitar/bass. If it's the later (which I guess it is based off of what you said) then it should be going between the bass and the amp. Not in the effects loop.
3. Got an MXR M80
4.
I wasn't sure if it was just a brand-fashion thing 'cause they're all colourful and stuff
This basically. They are designed to make stuff sound good, rather than true. So they are completely useless for monitoring, they're only worthwhile for casual listening. And there's much better offerings out there for the same money.
5. Sold to WPD who will be dropping by shortly.
6. A decent DI if you don't already own one. Look into the Sansamp models or alternatively an MXR M80 if you're on a bit of a budget.
7. Yeah, sadly it'd not really be that viable to post it I'm afraid
8. Actually went into Hannah's the other day. Wasn't too bad, except for being a tad expensive!
9. I do have a snare but it's a very expensive vintage jobbie that I'm hanging on to to use with the new kit. The new drums come on Sunday so I'd ideally like to have the space made by then! Link to the kit it is that I'm selling --> http://www.silverwin...ll/3745102.html Sells new at £599. Mine is the exact same except no snare and it's in a different (better?) colour. Definitely worth £170.
10. Bump as very much need this gone! £170 on the kit. Need a setup for the rehearsal room? Perfect opportunity is here!
11.
Just wanted to say thanks to Bankai for taking the time to post up his findings for us. Cheers fella. Appreciate the thought and the time taken.
You're welcome. In hindsight I wish I had included the TC Polytuner as well but I hope that this is of some guide!
12.
I read somewhere you can't use them with Rickenbackers as something in the foam reacts to the laquer...........Is this true?
This is correct.
13. Selling my ddrum Diablo Punx kit. 12" Tom 14 and 16" Floor Toms 22" Bass Includes tom mounts and decent quality skins. Looking for £200. Need to sell quickly due to space related issues! Also have a set of Paiste PST5 Hi-Hats (£50) and a Paiste 2002 20" Heavy Ride (£130) up for grabs. Couple of stands as well. Tell all your drummer folks
14. Wouldn't call something that's £1500 a beginner bass! But if I was just starting and was spending that much I would have thought a Fender American Deluxe Precision would be a good bet?
15. Very much recommend the Epiphone Pro version. It feels much more expensive than it actually is. It's the nicest bass I've ever owned.
16. I would get a Mexican Fender P
17. Live in Epsom. Interested in a trade or part-ex with an Orange Isobaric SP210?
18. I'd recommend the Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. That's what I use.
19. Sold.
20. If I ever find a white one, then I shall be purchasing!
21. Back from tour. Still no interest though sadly
22. We had a kid come into GuitarGuitar. He must have been 7 years old, he'd only had 6 lessons and he could play a couple of Van Halen songs. That was impressive. We were all in agreement that by the time he's 18 he'll be something ridonkulous providing he sticks with it
23. PaisleyFreight will send it next day door to door insured for a flat rate of £12. I use them and recommend!
24. I'm on tour so not able to post out at the moment but do let me know if you're interested.
