  1. Wouldn't call something that's £1500 a beginner bass! But if I was just starting and was spending that much I would have thought a Fender American Deluxe Precision would be a good bet?
  2. Very much recommend the Epiphone Pro version. It feels much more expensive than it actually is. It's the nicest bass I've ever owned.
  3. I would get a Mexican Fender P
  4. Live in Epsom. Interested in a trade or part-ex with an Orange Isobaric SP210?
  5. I'd recommend the Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. That's what I use.
  6. Sold.
  7. If I ever find a white one, then I shall be purchasing!
  8. Back from tour. Still no interest though sadly
  9. We had a kid come into GuitarGuitar. He must have been 7 years old, he'd only had 6 lessons and he could play a couple of Van Halen songs. That was impressive. We were all in agreement that by the time he's 18 he'll be something ridonkulous providing he sticks with it
  10. PaisleyFreight will send it next day door to door insured for a flat rate of £12. I use them and recommend!
  11. I'm on tour so not able to post out at the moment but do let me know if you're interested.
  12. Now have this up for sale in a different thread: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/144651-orange-sp210-cab-for-l350-ashdown-mag115-deep-for-l100/page__fromsearch__1
  13. 2011: 0 gigs 2010: 1 gig 2009: 2 gigs I'm going backwards.
  14. It'll be a rebate from Fender themselves rather than cash off at the till I'd expect. I had to deal with the last deal they did (which was free strings for a year with every american standard) and it was a massive ballache getting it done.
  15. It's a tough call. I've been planning on ordering a custom one of these but this would be considerably cheaper. Especially seeing as I have an MIA P... Time for internal debates to ensue...
  16. If you want the sound of a cab when recording, you'd use two microphones. A Beta 52, D112 or my personal favourite a e602. This is placed right next to one of the speakers (usually top left). Once you have that microphone in place to capture your fundamental tones, you then add the second one. The type of microphone which would be best for this would be a large diaphragm condenser. Something like an AKG C414. Placed between a foot and 2 foot in front of the cab. Mix the two and you'll have the perfect replication (or as close as can be) to the sound of your amp and cab.
  17. This would also fit the SVT-350 and SV-450 models which are exactly the same size as a CL.
  18. Well this is exactly how the OBT will sound and what you can get out of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-rN4glWmTs
  19. Someone earlier mentioned Suhr basses. Their Jazz Basses are the best Jazz basses there are. And that's coming from someone that's played Laklands, Sadowskys, Fenders etc!
  20. Whichever order you like. I would have thought they'd work best in this order though: Wah Chorus Fuzz
  21. If you've got a Micro VR, why not use the specially designed Ampeg 2x10 to go with it?
  22. If only you were accepting trades!
  23. And still available. And I've found a suitable courier for posting so I can get this sent to you if you wish!
  24. Sadly kitten death off hold. Both cabs still available!
