1.
See if you can slide paper under the back of the bridge. If you can, use that to haggle.
Which part of the bridge do you refer to? And what difference does the gap make? It's not something I've heard of before!
2. I've just come across a 1981 4001 that's for sale. I've never much looked at them before but after playing this I really like it. I would just like some advice as to what kind of price is acceptable. As you can see from the picture below, it's had a bit of loving over the years. But the playing is fine and it works perfectly, so it's only aesthetic damage. It's from a store rather than private sale. What would be a good price? It has it's case I believe.
3. Touring bands will use a couple of condenser microphones fixed either side of the stage pointed into the audience in their IEM mix.
4. Powerhandling is 250W RMS. It's the most recent type with the upgraded drivers.
5.
Do you know if an Ampeg PF500 would sound good through the Isobaric cab? Cheers Blademan
Never heard one of those sadly. But the cab will give you the best sound you could ever imagine out of something so small. And at an incredible volume too! SP210 still available and MAG115 DEEP still available!
6. Was going to be buying a 610 but it's already been sold. I'd be interested in this and I have an Ashdown 115 Compact cab in very good condition for sale. £250 cash plus the cab? Not sure if you've already sold it but if not I hope this might be along the lines of what you're looking for.
7. I have one of these and it is truely amazing. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to do home recording!
8. Would recommend Sennheiser CX-200 earphones. A little more at £20 but worth it. Very re-inforced at the plug end.
9. This is correct.
10.
Guitar Guitar has them in stock
Let me know if you fancy coming and I'll give you a private booth to have a noodle in. Sadly haven't tried them myself yet but I've been pretty impressed with the other stuff from Aguilar I've used!
11. I'm doing exactly the same, selling my SP210 in order to get a nice big stack!
12. Logic Express. And either a Focusrite Pro 24 or Pro 40 depending on how many channels you'd like. IMO of course...
13. Still available, I've been on holiday. Hence the delay!
14. I'd recommend a Flip HD model with the upgraded condenser microphones, if you're looking for something simple.
15.
And I still want to know if you bothered muting the strings other than the one you're tuning...
I find that pretty insulting tbh.
16.
Well, Bankai did suggest that the Epiphone he used for the shootout has a lower frequency response than others. So maybe that's why he had trouble tuning the B? Truckstop
Yes, the guitar you're using would inevitably be having some effect. I purposefully chose a 5 string thunderbird as it'd be the hardest bass for a tuner.
17. Have bought an Ampeg SVT450 And soon to buy an Ampeg 610!
18. Ashdown MAG210T sold and Orange Bass Terror sold.
19.
soon to be released Shavo Odadjian model.
[sits up and starts paying attention...]
20. From the money you'd get for selling the AD200, you'd have enough to buy this: http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_amps_de...1072013552688b6 Tastes good...
21. A Jazz can definitely be made to cut through, more so than a Precision I'd say.
22. Thunderbirds usually go for about £700-800 depending on condition. I'd say that you should look around that maybe?
23. In my opinion, buy second hand. But if you want to be buying new, then this is probably the best deal! http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_amps_de...1072013552688b6
24. ON that note, perhaps consider a TC Electronics rig? They're doing buy one get one free on their cabs atm with one of their heads!
