Bands Wanted

If you haven't gotten any reply at all then send an email direct to [email protected] rather than using the form. Just say you tried on the website but as you didn't get any response you assumed it didn't go through etc. Hopefully you'll hear back!
http://www.giggear.co.uk/p/Levy-s-MM4-Wire...Receive-Holder/
Pro tip. Use one of these holder things, and then slide a wrist sweatband of your choice over the receiver. Job done.
4. Too, yello? Sorry, got my heart set here

Apologies for those who haven't heard back, hopefully you'll get a reply soon. I'm just one of the sound engineers! Unfortunately I'm away on the 11th working at a festival down in bournemouth, otherwise I'd be there to see you!
6.
Well if you want to sell your sp210, let me know. I might use this till I can afford a midget
You'd have a deal but I need to find a second hand barefaced to move on to before we can do the trade! Sadly Alex doesn't do a student discount
If you combined the Orange and the Midget, you would have an Oompa-Loompa!!
---------> The Door
7. Protools files are not compatible in Garageband/Logic or vice versa. You'll have to export the individual track files in Protools to WAV or similiar filetype, and then re-import them back in Garageband.
8. and the pickguard is white as well usually. Can't help but think it's just an epiphone. But as I said, I'm most probably wrong!
9. A lot of people use OHs on their drums, but I highly recommend not doing this unless you're playing above 600 people. They add a lot of noise to signal and especially if you're using a small PA will do more harm than good! Try using just a hi-hat and ride mic instead. The less things you add to your PA the better, unless of course if you're playing massive rock/metal gigs then it's understandable
10. Definitely not happy with the Orange SP210. It looks awesome, emphasis on the awesome, but it just doesn't have volume nor does it have an amazing tone, especially when cranked. I don't know if it's me just being picky seeing as Iswapped to this small setup from a full-size stack but I feel disappointed. I'm just not sure whether the midget or the compact will be the one to buy.
11. Cheap cables will impair the sound but once you get to a good standard there's not much improvement to be had really. Top-end studios using multi-thousand pound microphones will still be using the same standard cabling as any decent venue (Usually Neutrix/VanDamme)

Good to hear. If anybody will be playing soon then let me know and I'll try to make sure I'm there!
15.
Ok quick question about the ohm-switch at the back. If I switch it to 4 ohm would it function like a normal 4 ohm amp in that if I plugged in 1 8ohm cabinet would it receive just 250W? Sorry if I haven't explained that well. Thanks, Rob
Yes. You are right.

18. Avoid London.
19. Currently using a BT500 into an SP210. Am definitely considering a midget or maybe a compact...
20. The one we used to run at our venue was really laid back. No house band or anything. Just turn up and play or take over when someone leaves for a cigarette. Kept on going until we shut at 2am. So we'd have about 6/7 people just rotating and playing with different people each time.
21. Hiya, we're looking for new bands to book for our venues. Please visit our website: http://nativetongue.co.uk if you're interested in playing. We've got two venues, one near the Barbican (EC1) in London and one in Epsom, Surrey. The Epsom one is really intense and small, perfect for bands mainly aiming for ages 18-28 due to local uni and crowd. The London venue is more relaxed and upmarket and is better for the aged 30+ giggers. That said we still have young bands playing London and old bands playing Epsom all the time. If you're wanting to play originals, covers or both then get in contact through our website! We have full PA and backline in both venues so you don't have to bring bulky unless you want to!

Boss RC3

It should be possible seeing as you can load any wav files to the pedal.
24. GuitarGuitar are doing 3 for the price of 2 on all Boss stomp boxes.
25. All west sussex bassists play for Willy Austin. There are no other bands.
