1. Originally bought the Little Giant 350 and MAG 210T cab and then later added the 115 cab to bolster the sound for live. Selling because I never got the tone out of it that was right for me. If you're looking to take the step up from a combo to a proper gig stack then it'd be perfect. Alternatively if you're looking for something flexible for pub gigs etc. it'd be spot on too. The head unit is rackmounted alongside a dual-channel dbx266XL compressor which works very well with the setup, especially for slapping techniques. Ideally I'd like to sell it all together but I have no problem is splitting the gear. Pickup/collection is much much better for me but I can courier if must. Selling the complete rig for £400. Would also look at trade + part-ex. Pictures are following when uploaded in a few minutes.
2. If you're looking to get started in the recording world then the m-box is perfect in every way. And it comes with pro-tools. Second-hand here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Digidesign-Mbox2-Min...=item41566be1c7 Or brand-new in most music/audio stores.
3. Brilliant parenting. And that is not sarcasm.
4. Someone has posted about this on one of the previous pages, not sure where though.
5. Deal. Send me a PM when you come online
6. What actually makes a keeper is an emotional attachment. Instead people use keeper as a adjective for a bass that is technically good.
7. Well, after reading both threads in full I think the one who should be paying out is Parcelforce.
8. Can I get some string suggestions: Need a set for the P-Bass. Wanting a nice powerful tone. A set for one of their strats. Wanting a kind of bluesy rock tone. And a set for the tele. Wanting a nu metal kind of tone. And another set for a tele. John Mayer tonage? Any ideas? P.S YES, I did go overboard on the ryders...
9. Make sure you're connecting the microphone into the balanced XLR connection, rather than one of the jack connectors.
10. I don't think you'll be able to shift this for any more than about £60. Nice mixer but such is the way now that they aren't worth much second hand, especially after a few years
11. A lot of you mentioned that you had to email for the bags etc. Did you do this pre-ordering or just send one to their support after?
12.
what do you expect for £60???
Nothing amazing, but based on what others had said I was expecting something usable.
13.
Tele update... Still haven't plugged it in, but, can confirm, frets are crappy little mandolin frets, will probably wear out in a week, and feel weird. Volume pot was spinning so went to take the knob off and tighten it up, and it turned out the knob wasn't glued to it's plastic base properly. So swapped it out, job done. Will hopefully find time to plug in tonight. Might be a nice base to learn how to refret properly....
This upsets me. Generally the feedback has been good with only a couple of people reporting bad experiences. I was planning on a tele but I'm now worried it'll not be worth the £59, what to do...
14. What's the big fuss over Maple? Surely they'll just be the same but a different colour!
15. Mine is just in the right position for playing naked. I'm yet to have a gig yet where that is an option though.
16. I think I'm going to have to get one of the Ps and then a strat and tele. All three will be beaten very muchly. Can't be having them look shiny can we?
17. They have sold out of the BLUE
18. I nostalgied. I'll take it for the price you PMed me
19. 13 microphones. The bass drum is almost inaudible though due to an over active multipressor. I'll adjust it for the version I submit and then hopefully it'll be more prominent
20.
Bankai-Why would taking a DI from your amp defeat the object?
Probably the best response would be a copypasta of my earlier post: We take a DI from the guitar as opposed to the amp for these reasons: -Protecting against failure of the amp -Musicians will often be changing settings during the show on an amp, this will of course affect the DI coming to the FoH and mean constant adjustment down this end as well -A DI from the amp will be EQed for THAT amp and cab, not for a FoH system If you want amp sound then you use a microphone to the cab but in conjunction with a DI from the guitar so you still have the positives listed above, but with the added tones chosen by the bassist.
21. Any opinions?
22. Craig this is getting ridiculous. Stop copying me in every way possible!
23. I have PMed you an offer.
24.
You'd think that the sound engineers would be over the moon to use the supplied D.I on the amp. saves alot of time, what with having to set up the box, run the wired etc. Definetly gonna get the soung guy to use my D.I on friday. il let you know his reply.
Well that kind of ruins the point in taking a DI rather than using a microphone. Use a DI from the guitar OR Use a DI from the guitar and a suitable microphone to the cab.
