1. Mine is just in the right position for playing naked. I'm yet to have a gig yet where that is an option though.
2. I think I'm going to have to get one of the Ps and then a strat and tele. All three will be beaten very muchly. Can't be having them look shiny can we?
3. They have sold out of the BLUE
4. I nostalgied. I'll take it for the price you PMed me
5. 13 microphones. The bass drum is almost inaudible though due to an over active multipressor. I'll adjust it for the version I submit and then hopefully it'll be more prominent
6.
Bankai-Why would taking a DI from your amp defeat the object?
Probably the best response would be a copypasta of my earlier post: We take a DI from the guitar as opposed to the amp for these reasons: -Protecting against failure of the amp -Musicians will often be changing settings during the show on an amp, this will of course affect the DI coming to the FoH and mean constant adjustment down this end as well -A DI from the amp will be EQed for THAT amp and cab, not for a FoH system If you want amp sound then you use a microphone to the cab but in conjunction with a DI from the guitar so you still have the positives listed above, but with the added tones chosen by the bassist.
7. Craig this is getting ridiculous. Stop copying me in every way possible!
8.
You'd think that the sound engineers would be over the moon to use the supplied D.I on the amp. saves alot of time, what with having to set up the box, run the wired etc. Definetly gonna get the soung guy to use my D.I on friday. il let you know his reply.
Well that kind of ruins the point in taking a DI rather than using a microphone. Use a DI from the guitar OR Use a DI from the guitar and a suitable microphone to the cab.
9. I work at a 1400 capacity venue. For bass guitar if we're only using one channel, then we'll take a DI direct from the guitar. If we're using two we'll use a DI along with a microphone to the cab. If a bassist specifically asked me to take DI from their rig then I'd have no problem doing it, it's just I much prefer to do it this way. Why? -Protecting against failure of the amp -Musicians will often be changing settings during the show on an amp, this will of course affect the DI coming to the FoH and mean constant adjustment down this end as well -A DI from the amp will be EQed for THAT amp and cab, not for a FoH system That's why.
10. Just finished my first recording piece for uni. I'm studying Music and Sound Technology. This song was all studio recorded with not a bit of MIDI in sight. There's a few things left to do to the piece but I'm kind of happy with how it's sounding http://jekyll.mcalpine.ch/AlexMcAlpine_RockAndRoll1.mp3
11. Yet another sign that I'll never, EVER actually manage to get me a tbird. It's getting ridiculous now!
12. Waiting for a response from OP76, seems he hasn't been on for a few days. Hopefully he'll come back soon!
13. I loved mine and do miss it but I had to move on to larger and louder amps
14. I live in Bournemouth. If you can post them (which I'll cover) or find some other way of getting them down here, you have a deal.
15. Sadly if you've only just joined I think you're going to have to post pictures or at least some proof of ownership otherwise people might be a bit wary.
16. Thanks for quibble freeness. Easiest second-hand purchase ever. And a Mag115 for £105 posted, not too bad either! I'll be pairing this with a 210T to bolster my amp's live sound. Bass doesn't get run through PA so hopefully a second cab will do the job when the guitarists are being loud. Cheers!
