1. £200 Somehow I'm guessing no, we really do need to know what price you're looking for, even if it is only as a guide. Otherwise you'll end up getting ridiculous offers like mine, or even worse; none at all.
2. Float your boat much? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry736751
3. I'll get a quote from a courier to see how much postage would be. If it's something viable then I might take both from you.
4. Righty, for sale here is an Ashdown Perfect 10 Mini-Rig. Anybody who's used one can tell you about how brilliant they sound. Perfect for rehearsal or recording. I bought this last year and it's been used in my studio since. No gigging, and never run to peak volumes. As such it sounds as good today as it did the day it was first played. It has the best tone I've ever heard from an amp and looks better than any other combo or practice amp. It can hold it's own in the studio and in small gigs. And if you're playing a bigger gig, you need only use the line out and you'll still have that great sound but even louder. Actual amp is 65W RMS (120W Peak) and the two 10" speaker cabs are rated at 60W. Has controls for the three band EQ, gain and volume, as well as Ashdown's special 'Deep' function. And to top it all off and add the looks it has an illuminated-red VU meter. I'm selling this so I can get something bigger as the events I play at don't have a PA that I can run my bass through so I need an amp that can throw out 200-300W on it's own. I'm searching for one of Ashdown's 15" combos (either the Electric Blue or Evo). As such I'll either sell this for cash or would love to do a PX with someone who has the type of amp I'm after, I can add necessary cash. I'll consider other makes/models as well (would also be interested in head+cab). If selling just for cash I'd be looking for around about £100 plus (if sent) Packing+Postage. Item is located at my house in Epsom, Surrey (KT17). Now got a picture taken. Apologies for poor image quality and the cables stacked on top of it Here is a stock image that shows you what it looks like in better light: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/49/121509105_7bb5999a34.jpg
5. Interested in trades? If so what kind of thing are you looking for?
6. Oh so very nice What's the time scale for you being in the UK?
7. alright, cheers If I get this all fixed and good any idea what price it might go for?
8. It can be done on a 5-string (and even on a 6-string) but it does take some practice as it's certainly not as easy to slap as it is on a 4-string.
9. Surrey A bit too far. I will get the money together and get it off him in the new year. I'll also keep an eye out on here in case a better deal comes up. Thanks.
10. I do not know. He said it'd be the kind of thing a local shop could do for a small fee. I would presume saddle adjustments
11. Ok thanks for the tips. It's my friend selling it who I've known for years so I do trust him not to pass on some bodged nightmare . As for the reason for not fixing, he upgraded and got a musicman and stopped using this. He then stopped playing all together about 3 or 4 years ago now. As you can see from my signature at the moment I have a shine warrior 5-string. I like the action on it but I'd like to get something better. I'm draw to Fenders and I'd ideally like to get a '59 Jazz but there's a slight problem, money... As such I'm looking at something slightly lower but still with the great Fender sound.
12. Does this mean someone now has called this or is it available still?
13. It may have already been said but Deftones - My Own Summer
14. Hi, I'm considering getting another bass off my friend. It's a fairly recent mexican fender jazz bass. He's told me it needs a quick MOT, bridge resetting etc. and also one of the knobs has come off. Any ideas on how much it's worth?
15. I was looking at those and they look pretty good. I'll pick one up at some point when I have some money!

Ahoy hoy

Hi, I'm Alex. I've been playing bass since the beginning of 2009. I had wanted to play for a while but I ended up with some money and finally got a guitar. On the other hand, I've been playing drums for about 9 years (that's what I'm really good at) I also operate a small 'recording' studio and I work as a sound engineer part-time.
17. Thanks for the help guys. I'll inevitably be back! Alex.
