That is what it looks like in th photos you posted. Wish I had the bread, but that grain on the top is sorta an acquired taste, too. Not wishing to diss the bass or anything. I had a sunburst rosewood board `60 from new - well it was six or eight months old when I bought it for £60. Off a guy who paid 80 guineas for it. Wonder how many Brits even remember when we had guineas? Still in the fender cardboard box as the case was too dear and also nto Fender! I sold it in 1962 for £60. Bought a cheapo 335 copy for a guitar gig. Could not afford to have more than one instrument. Also later sold my Vox AC10 and `63 white with rosewood neck Tele when I switched back to bass again. I could cry. Does this one have that flat wide neck I recall? A buddy in Nashville had the only other one I have liked as well. Really wish I had £3k sitting around looking bored with nothing to do.

Two 15", iin a box, one facing up one facing down and both firing into parabolic reflectors. Very long throw but this was before big PAs were about in any numbers... Reminds me of this a bit.

I drooled over one of these when they first arrived at Corner Music in Nashvegas.... Would still love one if I could afford it. Mind you I guess it sorta depends on what the replacement speakers are, too. I seem to remember them being around $1200 when they first hit the streets. Nice amp bump bump

ye go! what a monster!! My drummer picked it up and left it in his mum`s shed for me to collect on the way to the gig ( A country and western festival) AND BLIMEY THE THING HAS SOME BASS! Sorry - my arthritis makes editing accidental capslock slips a pain. Anyway it worked so well the organisers complained about too much bass after the first set - with a 100 watt trannie head set at about 2! Still in two minds as to whether it gets sawn in half. Back says yes, heart says no. Thanks again, Colin!
