  1. Original BCP-1 Diamond compressor. S/N 2977 Owned for a while and been on my board for a couple of years, but now no longer using it. Comes with original box, and all the leads and paperwork inside. Velcro on bottom £140 posted via Post Office recoded delivery.
  2. They should do it like I have on my Sonic Farm pre. All options are here
  3. I was going to post, but this is sort of exactly what I’d of written- only difference would be that ‘my’ Nan couldn’t sing for toffee. Was going to mention Glen Matlock, but wasn’t sure if I’d of been accused of talking rubbish- but he’s nowhere near the bass player needed for the groove of those Blondie songs
  4. Yep- that Stingray sounds great. What’s nice to see is Elton also keeping the same drummer from the beginning- guitarist too. Also nice to see Ray Cooper on percussion
  5. Generation 3 ENKI cases I believe are better with the wheel wobble- though I may be wrong. Only issue, is that some shops will have brand new MK2s still to pump out. The price for ENKIs have gone up from last year- much like everything else I suppose. I keep wondering whether to save up for one or not, and the only thing holding me back is the price
  6. I bought a Crest CA9 years ago, after reading loads up on it. It’s mainly beloved over on Talkbass- though is very heavy. Bought it cheapish, to try out and scratch the proverbial itch. I’ve had loads of power amps over the years, and it’s absolutely great on bass. There are loads of mentions about the reasoning behind this- that it’s not a flat sound, and by a sort of quirk in the design, works well on bass guitar. I bought it with the view of being sceptical, and then moving it on, but it’s really good. The only issue is the weight, and also the fact that it’s very deep in size- meaning you have to look for a suitable rack. I found a 2U Boschma rack on their site- very heavy duty moulded plastic one. But I’m not sure that they’re still in business or not. I use it with a Sonic Farm mic pre In front of it, and sounds really good
  7. That’s fine. I’m in no rush, as I still take it out as a backup . Thanks for replying though- some don’t. What did you end up getting by the way? I’m such a gear nerd- he he Paul
  8. Sounds like a plan. Nik was interested, but he’s decided on something else now. Let me know guys Paul
  9. You had one of those a few years ago didn’t you? As did I. Debating whether to get another again- they are awesome amps
  10. If I could sell my bass, this is one of two that I pick from to replace it. These are great- just got a Japanese Metro R24 Modern in on a trade. Quality wise, there’s not a fag paper’s difference between the US ones. As I said before- it’s a difficult time to sell at the moment. Someone’s even started a thread about it. This bass is really as good as it gets if you’re after a 5 active Jazz.
  11. This bass is lovely. Just shows how tight things are for most folk. Far better that the German ones I’d say
  12. Same here. Ive been running- bass into small board with SFX 2 band EQ, compressor, Sonic Farm, then power amp and speakers- lovely sound, with hardly any EQ. The Caveman has been on my radar, but unsure if to spend the money on something that might not make a lot of difference. The bass pre-amp rabbit hole you can go down is massive, if you had the funds
  13. I play in a Northern Soul band, and this is one of the ones right near the end. I mix about with the line a bit, as you do, and it always goes down well
  14. What’s the model called with the 10 and 2x6 speakers called? It’s the baby of the 1516, but can’t find the model name
  15. Rob is great- I love his playing. Came from good stock too. Also echo what’s been said about- so inventive with his playing
  16. Dropped off at BassBros the other week, and now it’s sold. Please lock - thanks
  17. Just seen on Facebook, that he was Robin Malarkey’s father. He’s another awesome player
  18. https://gollihurmusic.com/accessories-for-upright-bass/cases-and-gig-bags/lightweight-plastic-travel-case-for-ns-design-bass-instruments/
  19. That colour is fantastic. Also unusual to see a bass with a flame on the back
  20. Is that yours Brian? Always liked the look of them
  21. Those all valve Nexus heads look a real bargain at the price. I tried the all valve route with a Handbox, but found it under powered. The Nexus looks like a kind of British version of the Mesa one- at a fraction of the cost
  22. Oh and my one is 700 watts, not the 500 it says on that spec sheet. Thanks
  23. Found this online. Though mine is the 4 ohm version. I don’t have a cover for it unfortunately
  24. The Bass Gallery have these. I doubt you’ll find a better lightweight top notch P or J for this money
