    Same here. Ive been running- bass into small board with SFX 2 band EQ, compressor, Sonic Farm, then power amp and speakers- lovely sound, with hardly any EQ. The Caveman has been on my radar, but unsure if to spend the money on something that might not make a lot of difference. The bass pre-amp rabbit hole you can go down is massive, if you had the funds

    I play in a Northern Soul band, and this is one of the ones right near the end. I mix about with the line a bit, as you do, and it always goes down well

    Those all valve Nexus heads look a real bargain at the price. I tried the all valve route with a Handbox, but found it under powered. The Nexus looks like a kind of British version of the Mesa one- at a fraction of the cost

    Not quite the same, but still a Series 6 model. By chance I clicked on Facebook Marketplace early this morning , and this popped up for £120 - saying in the next town. Clicked on the ad, and it was in my village, about 30 houses down from me. Messaged there and then, and bought it when I got home. Last Trace gear I had was a Series 6 AH300 over 20 years ago. Wanted a Series 6 combo for rehearsals. Just the job

    I use one live with a big old iron power amp. One of the best bits of kit I’ve ever bought. Also use it all the time into my laptop with headphones for playing along to YouTube for learning songs. GLWTS

    Eden rig up for sale. £400 for both WT400 amp, and 410 XLT cab I bought this rig from the old Wapping Bass Centre in 2000 for 2K. Had sitting around for the last two years or so. The head I still use for rehearsals, and then take to a gig as a spare. The head is pretty much as new. Cab in really good nick too. Casters are long gone, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got a replacement set in the loft I can dig out. Gigged this a lot, always looked after it, and it’s never ever let me down. Cab will make this impractical to courier really, as quite heavy. Pick up, or I could meet up, if it’s not crazy mileage. Not really looking for trades, as I’m saving up for another bass. Get a quality rig in great condition, at a fifth of the new cost. Thanks for looking. Paul

    Bump. I’ve had the fret dress done, and the top end string clamp is now pretty much flush, with a sliver of a gap. Price drop to £1200
