1. I've had GAS for the Neunaber Wet reverb for quite a while now! This guy does a pretty good demo of it.
2.
The patch leads have changed since the last photo you posted Al I bet you can have a lot of fun with that board!
Yes they have Tom, and like you and Kev promised, the tonal change has certainly been palpable!... It is a lot of fun! I think once there's the addition of another dirtbox (made by a certain excellent UK pedalsmith! ) it will be complete...
3. Pre-gig last night Looking a bit messy at the mo, but it sounds amazing! :-)
4. What about the bass version of Tom's (COG Effects) Darklighter overdrive?
5. Bump, with Bass-Drive added!
6. This sounds lovely! Can't wait to get my hands on our cheeky little dirt box creation Tom ...
7. Prices dropped already! Bargain prices...
8. For me it's the Eventide "Factor" pedals and the Strymon delays. Just still can't find the courage to drop more than £150 on a delay pedal. I'm getting scarily close with the Strymon Brigadier though! :-s...
9. I know the website's four years old, but I stumbled across this and it's got me very interested! http://www.pkeffects.com/old/ Has anyone tried either pedal on bass?
10. I'd have a fuzz either side of the whole chain! ;-) Always before delay or reverb though!
11. Quick question for you Shep, as you've got one and know what you're talking about! Have you ever used the EP-2 with the Low Pass Filter? If so did you ever adjust the attenuation knob at all, or did you just leave it at full?
12.
Been a while since I posted a few pics. The HUGE board has been stripped and is currently acting as a coffee table in the studio. I have a new live electronica project on the go (live bass & electronics as a 2-piece) and this is my much reduced set up that I'm using for it... Bass -> TC Polytune Mini -> * (GigRig QuarterMaster 4 Input) * COG Effects Custom Meat Grinder Fuzz -> Subdecay Prometheus -> Eventide PitchFactor (with EB VP Jr) -> Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter (with MP-201) -> * (GigRig QuarterMaster 4 Output) * TC Nova Delay iB Mod - > Amp All housed in a Diago Showman (other than the delay) and powered by a GigRig Modeular Power Supply. There is a MIDI Splitter in the top corner too which delivers a MIDI Clock from the electronics to sync the LFO's of my MP-201 and crazy effects in the Eventide. Sounds HUGE!!! Shep
Good lord! You could destroy buildings with this lot! ;-)
13.
Wow That board could be so much smaller lol Si
Especially considering that he's only using that equaliser for flat mids after the BBM. He blatantly needs a Grey Stache and a Pedaltrain Nano! Thanks for the responses guys, especially the pic Eskimo! Lovely stuff. Al
14.
My latest board, on a PT2 powered by Gigrig and cables with George L and a couple of neutrik/vandamme cables. Wonderlove (Phat Phuk > OC-2 > Oxide) > Xerograph (controlled by EP-2) > Polytope > Nimbus > B7K Loving it, and should be adding a TFR in the near future!
This is lovely. The Iron Ether layout is incredible in itself!
15.
Some quality stuff there mate, have you considered upgrading your patch leads? You will be surprised at the difference some quality cables can make to your tone!
I have! What would you recommend? Been looking at the George Ls kit, but reviews seem to vary!...
16. Mine, as of last night's gig: It would be a bit neater with the BGP and BD the other way around, but I can't get the lid closed! :-(
17. Does anyone know? He gets some fantastic tones! Thinking "Ambulance" or "Set Guitars To Kill"...
18. Hey Byo, Nope, just has the extra sustain. Thanks, Al
19. Bump, for a new pedal!
20. Bought Dan's Fuzzrocious Grey Stache. Great comms, and I can't believe how quickly it got here!... Thanks Dan!
21. Thanks Si, Yep, I guess you ultimately have to fine these things out for yourself! ;-) Do you know what I'm to expect in terms of character from the Germaniums? I understand they're a bit less harsh than silicon, and less gainy than silicon and LED? I'm now tempted to keep the ARC BGP for face melting, and have this as a nice mid-fuzz if that's the case? Again, thanks for any advice!
22. Just bought Danweb22's love Grey Stache, and looking forward to receiving it! :-) One concern I have though is that I use very hot main basses (18v circuit, active pickups), and I'm slightly concerned over whether the Germanium diodes will react well to this? A problem I've had with Muffs and clones in the past is the volume drop, which I think may be a result of the input overdriving and the fuzz compressing too much. Does anyone use a germanium Stache with an active bass? How do you find it? Any comments will be much appreciated! Al
