2. Up for sale is my Martin 000-17SM in excellent condition. I must have tried about 40 new/vintage acoustics before settling on this one. It sounds wonderful and really projects. I don’t want to sell this, but I have my eye on a National resonator and need to raise some funds. The Martin is in excellent condition, comes with original Martin hardcase, and has been fitted with a K & K Pure Mini pickup. 3. Up for sale is my Fender Pawn Shop Mustang bass in excellent condition. It’s the sunburst version and sounds awesome. It’s my main bass and a very reluctant sale, but I have my eye on a National resonator and need to raise some funds. It comes with a hardcase which is for a jazz bass, but works fine. Set up with LaBella Mustang flats and sounds great. 4. This is a very reluctant sale. I'm about to buy an original National resonator guitar and need to raise some funds. This began as a standard Regal RD05 resonator bass but has since been massively improved by the following: The cone has been replaced with a Beard Legend cone The spider has been replaced by a Beard #14 The soundwell has been sanded flat and even The saddle has been replaced with a maple one A Lindy Fralin '51 Split coil tele bass pickup has been fitted, along with volume and tone controls A strap peg has been fitted to the bass of the neck All work was done by my local luthier. The bass has been set up with a lovely low action. Intonation is spot on. It's fitted with TI Jazz Flats and comes with a Kinsman hard case. The bass is very light and comfortable to play. It weighs in at 6.5lb (3kg) on the kitchen scales. I've used this in restaurants and other unplugged situations with a guitarist and cajon and it's been great. I really don't want to sell it after investing so much into it but i could really do with the cash right now. I'm after £550 ono collected from north Suffolk, or I can post. A few people have asked me about the unplugged volume so I've done a quick video playing this and then my Martin acoustic to try and give an idea: https://youtu.be/iPUKNvR2Vcw
5. Price dropped.
6. I'm selling a Seymour Duncan Basslines SCPB 3 pickup. I bought it to try in my resonator bass but ended up going for something with a lower output. £30.
7. I have a Phil Jones Bass Cub that I'm looking to sell. It's in great condition and comes with carry bag and sounds great. £350 ono
8. I'm selling my Alvarez MSB 27" scale travel electro acoustic bass. It's in great condition and has been strung with Status Tapewounds short scale strings. It has a factory fitted Fishman Ion preamp. I've used it as a 'round the house' practice bass and it's great. Complete with soft case. £165 delivered. 9. The Beard cone was fairly expensive, but the pickup is just a SCPB3. However, I'm likely to change that for a Fralin in the future. The biggest cost was the labour needed to sort the shoddy insides
10. K & K Pure bass pickup for acoustic basses. Never fitted, so boxed as new. £60 ono.
11. I've got an Alvarez MSB which is a cool little acoustic bass. Strung with short scale half rounds and good fun to take away.
12. I play it with a thick pick and it's fine for playing intimate gigs / open mikes. Anything louder with mic'd vocals and I'd use an amp anyway.
13. I've picked up a Regal RD-05 resonator bass and had my local luthier change the cone for a Beard legend, and fit a Seymour Duncan pickup. This thing is awesome now! Upon fitting the cone it became apparent that the workmanship inside was pretty shocking! I'm now over the moon with it, it sounds great unplugged in my trio and lovely plugged in. Here it is with it's little brother:
14. I went for a Phil Jones bass cub and couldn't be happier; amazing amp!!!!
