Thanks for the tips. If I run my Martin acoustic (with K & K Pure Mini) into a clean bass amp I'm guessing an EQ pedal before would help a lot. I know the impedance of Boss EQ pedals matches the K & K's, but would I be better off with a bass EQ or guitar EQ?

I play in a three piece blues band and we generally have two set ups; fully electric with me on bass with a guitarist and drummer, and an acoustic set up with me on guitar with another guitarist and cajon. The acoustic side is getting quie a lot of gigs now, and I want to incorporate bass into the set. I have an acoustic bass at home for practising, so I think I'm going to get a K & K Pure Bass fitted into this. I know I'll need an amp, and I've been on the hunt for one anyway as a stage monitor for our acoustic gigs. Does anyone have any recommendations for an amp that can handle acoustic bass and acoustic guitar for gigs. I've looked at Fishman Loudbox's but I'm not sure they'll handle the low end. The Phil Jones bass Cub looks like a good bet. Any other recommendations? Cheers.

I'm selling my double bass with pickup after not finding time to learn it. I bought it from a local lady who gigged it regularly. It's been set up and has had a pickup fitted. I have added some stickers to the neck as markers but these can be easily removed. It also has a soft case. I'm after what I paid, £400. Collection only from north Suffolk. I'm selling my wood bodied Parlour Resonator guitar. I believe it to be a Busker Cannon, but as the badge was not present when I got it I can't confirm this. It is in excellent condition and comes with the pod case. I have it fitted with Newtone Nickel 12-54 strings as I play it in standard tuning for New Orleans style swing stuff. The nut has been professionally lowered so any slider's might want that raised. The hand rest has been made removable to aid setting up. The cone is a National Hot Rod one. It's a great guitar that I've really enjoyed. £300 ono. I'm in north Suffolk but could post if necessary. Hear it here: https://youtu.be/uvAaMtrO8zI (Pictures before cone upgraded)

I'm looking to sell my 2006 Martin HD-35 dreadnought acoustic. It's in excellent condition and has been fitted with a Fishman undersaddle passive pickup. Comes complete with Martin hardcase. It's an awesome guitar that sounds amazing, but my preference is for 1 3/4" nuts. I'm after £1,500. Here's the spec from the Martin website: www.martinguitar.com/model/item/193-hd-35.html

I've just bought my first double bass and it's been fitted with a pickup. The lady I bought it from didn't know what it was, so I was wondering if anyone could give me any idea as to what it is, please? I have a Martin OM-35 which I am looking to trade for a Martin dreadnought, or sell for £1,500. The OM-35 is a custom shop 2011 guitar with factory fitted K & K pure mini pickup and pre-phase preamp. It's in great condition and comes complete with a lovely Martin hardcase. The guitar has a few small marks on the body but nothing to cause any concern. The back of the neck has a couple of marks, the largest around the 7th fret, but these do not affect playability in any way. It has been gigged and these are just the scars from that. It sounds amazing acoustic, and the K & K fitted gives a great tone through PAs/amps. It has a lovely low action and is currently strung with John Pearse 12-53 strings. I love this guitar and had hoped to keep it forever. However my band has been getting quite a few purely acoustic gigs lately and I am looking for a dreadnought to give me a little more volume. Ideally I would like to swap it for a Martin D35/HD35, but would consider other options. The specs can be seen here: http://www.martingui.../402-om-35.html This one has Grover Deluxe tuners fitted, along with the K & K and preamp. Otherwise it's as Martins website. I used this guitar to record our EP (mic'ed) so here's a tune to give you an idea of the tone: https://www.youtube....h?v=RDk-3Hz3oME I'm in north Suffolk but would be happy to travel. FS: Orange CR60C combo
kristo posted a topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
I'm reluctantly looking to sell my Orange CR60C combo. I got it before Christmas and it's in as new condition; I still have the box, and I've bought an FS1 footswitch to go between the channels. It's the best sounding solid state amp I've owned to date, and there's been a few. I need to buy some new bass gear as I'm doing that a lot more lately and for the foreseeable future, so this has to go unfortunately. I'd like £250 for the amp and footswitch, collected from Beccles, Suffolk. I could possibly meet somewhere within a reasonable distance. I could also post at the buyers cost. -

Up for sale/trade is my Olympia OB3CE electro acoustic bass. I bought it to keep at home as a practice bass, but it's pretty loud too so can accompany an acoustic guitar nicely. The preamp is a Fishman Classic 4T with built in tuner, but I've never used this bass through a PA so can't comment on the sound. I had this preamp on a Fender BG32 before though and was always happy with the sound. The bass is in great condition, and strung with new Fender Phosphor strings. The original saddle has begun to crack but still functions. I have a purchased a bone replacement but haven't fitted it yet. The bass also has a soft case I will include. I'm looking for £125 or to trade it for a short scale acoustic bass as my electric is 30" and I prefer it. Happy to meet somewhere not too far from Beccles, Suffolk. I can also post as I have a box. I replaced my Markbass CMD121P and 121H cab with a Rumble 500 combo. I didn't mind the Markbass, but I found it a bit sterile and wanted a warmer sound. The Rumble sounds so much better to me, and it was around half the price. As a bonus, it looks so much cooler too!

Ashbury Bass Ukulele - anyone got any experience with them?
kristo replied to Mornats's topic in Other Instruments
So are they tuned like a Ubass, or are they an octave higher to be played with Ukes? I like the look of these but thought it was a rebranded version of this: http://www.southernukulelestore.co.uk/Product/843/Kamoa-E3E-Bass-Ukulele-Brown-with-Active-EQ-and-pod-case -
