Up for sale/trade is my Olympia OB3CE electro acoustic bass. I bought it to keep at home as a practice bass, and it's pretty loud. The preamp is a Fishman Classic 4T with built in tuner. The bass is in great condition, and strung with new Fender Phosphor strings. The original saddle has begun to crack but still functions. I have a bone replacement but haven't fitted it yet. The bass also has I soft case I will include. I'm looking for £140 or to trade it for a short scale acoustic bass as my electric is 30" and I prefer it. Happy to meet somewhere not too far from Beccles, Suffolk. I can also post as I have a box. For sale is my 2007 Gibson Melody Maker. It's an awesome guitar that is just not getting played as much as it should. I bought it new, and have had it professionally modified with the following:

BG Pickups added in both positions (more info here http://bg-pups.com/m...r/mm90-reissue/ ) I will include the original pickups
A Badass bridge added I will include the original bridge
The neck strap peg moved (I've always loved SGs and prefer the peg on the back of the guitar. The old hole has been left)
Old knobs and switch tip replaced
The guitar is in excellent condition, with some areas of the finish fading but nothing serious. There is a tiny bit of buckle rash on the back, but other than that it is in great shape. I have gigged this guitar many times but always taken good care of it. Comes complete with a hardcase. I'm after £400. I'd prefer collection from Beccles, Suffolk, but can post at cost.

Up for sale is my Takamine PTU407M electro-acoustic guitar. It is a great New Yorker sized guitar that's lovely for fingerpicking on. All mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard. I imported this from Japan about 7 years ago and it's been my main acoustic ever since. I have gigged it quite a bit and it has a few marks to show this. The main ones are some small indents on the back of the neck around the 10 fret, a small patch of missing gloss on the back of the neck, and a small dent on the back of the body. The price includes a quality hard case and I can post if necessary. £SOLD. Thanks for the recommendations, a lot to look into. I do like those Epiphones....

Shameless plug, but if he wants to play with others this is ideal: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/242441-fs-tuscany-spider-resonator-bass-with-case/ Over-budget, but if you don't need the case it would go for less.

It'll be for both really. We do a lot of purely acoustic gigs, but also those where a little amplification is needed. I was using a resonator bass and switching to my parlour acoustic, but I'd like something to cover both as I'm playing more 6 strings on these gigs and switching is a pain! Funny you mention magnetic pickups as these have caught my eye but I haven't had a chance to try one yet: http://www.gretschguitars.com/products/index.php?partno=2714031552 Thinking with that I could cover the acoustic stuff, and then plug in to an amp and still have a nice tone. If anything needs a bassier tone I could use an octave pedal to get that.

I've been looking for a new electro acoustic guitar for a few weeks now. I play in a blues trio with a slide guitarist (with resonator) and cajon. I play mainly rhythm stuff and a few walking chord bits. I'm looking for an acoustic with a very strong bass presence, which will hopefully work with the trebley resonator and make the walking bass sections sound fuller. What have people found to be the 'bassiest' acoustic guitar? I've played a couple of Martin's which have been really bassy, but unfortunately don't have that kind of cash right now. I'd like to keep it under £500 if I can. Cheers.

I'm looking to sell my Tuscany Spider resonator bass. It's an awesome bass that I use for unplugged and plugged acoustic gigs. The 30" scale makes it a real joy to play. Its sounds lovely when played with a pick and keeps up with another guitar and cajon. It's fitted with phosphor bronze strings to maximise volume. The pickup sounds very warm and great through my Fender Rumble 500. The bass is in excellent condition. I'm only selling as in the band I'm in I'm playing less bass in acoustic sets and more rhythm guitar. I'm hoping for £sold ono collected from North Suffolk, or I can post at cost.
