  1. Weird, the one on myvolts.co.uk is pictured tip positive as well... I've contacted them and asked them to clarify. I'll report back
  2. The myvolts ones are on ebay for £14-39 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185503199156
  3. I've just ordered one from myvolts.co.uk - £16-48 inc P&P seems pretty reasonable. I'll let you know if it fries my pedals!

  5. It's a bit hard to judge it on its own merits, as a 'new' Beatles song is such a big deal. No, it's probably not as good as the best things they ever did, and yes the production is a bit syrupy, and No, George didn't like it, but for me, a 1978 song by John Lennon that was on a tape labelled 'For Paul' that contains the lyrics 'If I make it through, it's all because of you' with Paul, George and Ringo playing on it is a really beautiful thing to hear. A nice postscript I think.
  6. I wouldn't want to own it, but it's undoubtedly an incredible looking thing!
  7. It's had the ends cut off, so it'll need repaitring. I called in Fender's lifetime warranty, and they wanted a pic of it with the ends cut off. They didn't ask for a reciept or anything, they just sent me a free replacement lead. Yay Fender customer support! Free to good home.
  8. As others have said, No there's no VAT, customs, import duty, window tax etc etc - the price you see is the price you pay. I've always had good dealings with Thomann but I have no experience of returns, so can't comment on that - there are a few horror stories on here and elsewhere about DHL/corner shops not accepting stuff. And yes, the UK adapter thing is a bit of a pain! As someone above mentioned, Andertons are also really good, I'd definitely recommend them.
  9. Very nice and VERY expensive. I'd rather have an original with a few battle scars.
  10. I've since discovered another one, five way spliter - Someone save these from landfill!
  11. I've got a 5 way power daisy chain lead you can have for free if you want? DM me.
  12. Is anyone using the Disaster Are DMC micro to control their C4 Presets? Can I use the left hold function on the DMC to engage/bypass the C4 while I'm in Preset mode?
  13. Eight male plugs - seven straight and one angled. Free to a good/neutral home. If it's still here in a week, it's going to landfill and on your own head be it.
  14. Me neither! If You buy it, I promise it will go away forever.
  15. Last night- depping with the Manchester Ska Foundation at a wedding in Buxton. Specials, Madness, Bad Manners, Two Tone type stuff with a couple of reggae numbers thrown in. Good fun to play, great musicians (really have to raise my game which is a good place to be), and a cracking crowd - thought the roof was going to come off when we launched into One Step Beyond. Highlights were the Trombone solo in Ghost Town and the drummer absolutely leathering This is Ska. We got the groom up to sing Kingston Town, he did pretty well considering. Played the P (of course) through the Thumpinator and the Sansamp VTDI (set to flip top) - sounded immense, especially with a touch of Bass Boost on the Reggae numbers. Played pretty well and the band like what I do. They're grateful for me stepping in and I'm grateful to be invited. Had a couple of "I can't believe I get to do this AND I'm getting paid for it" moments. Black Sheep was £3-70 a pint, there was food and it was a good payer. The sort of gig that makes it all worthwhile!
