Bought a beautiful 70s style P Bass from David and the transaction could not have gone better.
Lovely Bass at a decent price, great communication, absolutely lovely chap.
A genuine pleasure to deal with.
You might find the mic signal is weak because the impedance is different. Mics are low impedance, instrument inputs are high impedance.
If you get an impedance matching transformer, you'll get much better results.
I use the Audix T50K, but I'm sure there are other ones available!
According to their site, they're not taking on custom orders.
I will be going for Bright Onion though - they tick all the boxes (and I'm a sucker for a pink LED).
They're gorgeous but a bit pricey... I might be asking Santa for one!
Bought a nice looking Levy's from another BC'er, feel free to keep suggestions coming!
I love the VLE, it dials in a bit of Old Skool "Thump" that suits me.
I'm not so keen on the VPF, it makes the sound a bit thin to my ears.
Feel free to disagree!
If you can find a Squier 50s P Bass, get one! £250 ish second hand, plays great, sounds great, looks great, holds its value... a great way to scratch that P Bass itch.
I love mine!
I want an A/B pedal to switch between Electric and Upright, with a tuner output (or an extra footswitch) that silences everything.
I like this Bright Onion pedal but it's £85 and has an FX loop and a buffer that I don't need.
Anything you can reccomend?
Apologies (and feel free to move) if this should be in Effects
Can anyone recommend a good, padded strap that has a vintage look to it?
I love the Mono Betty (I have one for each Bass), but for some reason the long black ones are now over sixty quid.
I just got a Squier 50s P Bass and I want something that looks the part, but also has some padding for my aged shoulder.
Thanks in advance!
Boss TU-2
I've had mine since God was a boy and it's never let me down.
If you do want a clip on, the Boss TU-10 is good.
I'm sure the Korgs and Petersons are nice too! 😀
