Hello again, For exactly the same reasons as my Orange Terror Bass that's on sale here, I'm looking to sell my Mesa powerhouse 2x10. Simply, band situation has changed to the point where a 2x10 isn't enough, and in terms of a practice rig I now use my laptop. So! It's a bloody loud cab! A bit deeper than the other 2x10s I've encountered which I find gives it a better, meatier sound. While I can't honestly say I've encountered that many 2x10s, it's certainly the best I've heard, especially in combination with the orange and mesa heads that I own. It also has the silver grille, as opposed to the black one (I'm not a big fan of the black grilles!), and it also comes with a Mesa branded cover. It's played probably about 5 gigs. It's rated at 600 watts, 8ohm, though here's the shinfo from the Mesa website Performance Features: * 600 Watts RMS * 8 or 4 Ohms * Custom Mesa PowerHouse Speakers * Custom Mesa Neodymium High Frequency Horn * Exclusive Tuned Front Ported “Tri-Port” Design * Player Control Network™ featuring: Selectable 3-point Crossover (3k/4k/5k), Premium Horn Attenuator, Instant Reset Horn Protection, Speakon & ¼” Inputs AND Outputs Finish & Construction: * Black Bronco Vinyl * AA Marine Grade Baltic Birch Cabinet w/Aviation Style Bracing * Choice of Heavy Duty, Black (standard) or Silver Metal Grille * Optional Quick Detach Transport System or Trak-Loc™ Casters Available * Retractable Metal Handles * Lexan Corners * Slip Cover Due the size/weight etc this really can only be a collection jobby, though I can arrange a meet if possible. I'm all around the country so it is worth a try . I live near Oxford however. I'm looking for £350 for the cab. All serious offers will be considered . Thanks for taking the time to look! If you'd like more info, feel free to PM me, email me at or text me on 07500860710. I'll upload pictures shortly. Thank you ! Ash

SOLD Hello all, Come to the conclusion that I should sell this little beast. I originally bought it and a Mesa 2x10 as a small gig rig/practice rig, but as the band situation has changed and my practice rig idea is now laptop based I figured it was time to let this little guy go. It's loud. Make no mistake about that, can pump 500 watts at 4 or 8 ohm and gives *that* orange sound. It sounds great. I bought it off the lovely tonyf a couple of months ago. It hadn't gigged with him however it has done about 3 with me. It's been great at each one . Included with the sale is the carry case and a doohickey that kind of tempers the DI signal to a lower level. I'm sure tonyf can explain it more succinctly! I'll also try and unearth the box too - had a load of work done on the house so that might be gone! (I cleared the house of any amps etc while the work was being done to avoid dust btw ) I paid £390 for it IIRC so considering it has done some low level gigs with me I'd be looking for £370 posted or £360 collected. I would very much prefer a collection, considering every amp I've ever couriered has been damaged in some way during transit. I live near Oxford (4 miles from it) and will be moving to Exeter shortly so I'll be back and forth from there in the coming weeks. I also spend a lot of time in Swindon and Birmingham, and am occaisionally up in Liverpool and Leeds so I'm sure we could work something out! Thanks for reading, if you'd like more info just PM me, email me at or text me on 07500860710 . All serious offers considered Thanks! Ash Here's the original thread w/ pictures, I'll upload some of my own shortly http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...3&hl=orange

Why the negative vibes people - do we not like Orange now or something? Granted everyone and his cat are using them right now but that's no reason to dislike them... Or are they killing dolphins now or something?

Heya, A possibility has opened up for me which would involve playing bass on cruise ships over the summer. Just wondering if anyone here has done it and what their experience was like? How's the lifestyle, everything get extremely boring? Also in terms of payment I'm kind of interested to know what the going rate is. Wondering if I'm getting ripped off Cheers guys

hahaha, I think everyone on here can identify with something there. "Just because I'm a promoter doesn't mean I have to promote" far far far too familiar...

Good god I don't even understand half of those specs! I can only just about handle gain, bass, mid and treble knobs That said, I'm sure it's going to absolutely annihilate anything it comes near
So I have a Marshall MB15 bass amp and a Behringer Bass V-Amp- can I run a normal guitar through this set up, and what will it sound like? Also, if that works- what cheap (under £100) guitar should I get? Thanks
Shouldn't be a problem I don't think. I used to be in a three piece band and I'd play a guitar through my rig if we needed a second guitar. Didn't have any problems. By the same token a band called The Bronx had their bassist leave mid tour (some family problem or something) so their guitarist went through his bass rig to try and maintain some of the low end. So yeah, go for it. Not sure it'll sound super great but you could probably get something usable out of it. As for guitars... try and pick up a second hand squire on ebay? I've heard good things about the yamaha pacifica guitars too
